Toyosi Arigbabuwo, who featured in many Yoruba home videos such as Ogborielemosho and Bashorun Gaa, is dead.
A family source said Arigbabuwo died Monday evening at his residence in Ile-Alli area, along the Apete/Arola Road in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The source said the deceased had been ill for about six months.
He said: “He has been ill for over six months before he died yesterday. He died at his residence yesterday night.”
Arigbabuwo, until his death, was the Public Relations Officer of the Muslim Community in Apete-Awotan-Ayegun and environs in Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Chairman of the Muslim Community Alhaji Abdulwaheed Amoo also confirmed Arigbabuwo’s death.
He said: “Yes he died yesterday (Monday). He died a devout Muslim. Despite his busy schedules, he dedicated part of his life to Islam. We usually meet fortnightly and he was always present.”
Amoo added that the deceased was buried yesterday at the Muslim cemetery at Onigbaketun on the Apete/Awotan/Akufo Road at 12 noon.
