Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha and his predecessor David Babachir, both respected indigenes of Adamawa State, are scheming with other notable leaders for the resurgence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Others in the political strategy to return APC to reckoning in the state include the immediate past governor, Jibrilla Bindow and President Muhammadu Buhari’s in-law, Ahmed Halilu (Mudi), as well as ex-EFCC Chairman Nuhu Ribadu.

Aisha Buhari (representing Adamawa Central Senatorial Zone in the National Assembly), Abdulrazak Namdas (House of Representatives member for Jada/Ganye/Mayo-Belwa/Toungo federal constituency), and immediate past deputy governor of the state, Babale Martins are also prominent in the emerging intra-party movement to retake Adamawa State come 2023.

The APC which was the governing party up to the 2019 election, lost out because the incumbent governor Jibrilla Bindow who took the party’s ticket to the election lost to the People’s Democratic

Party’s (PDP) candidate Ahmadu Fintiri.
