Three lawyers, Adeyemo Adeleke, Richard Oma Ahonarugho (SAN) and Kayode Williams Bankole are among those honoured by the Nigerian Baptist Convention-owned New Frontiers Television (NFTV), as part of activities marking the station’s 10th anniversary.

The height of the anniversary was the launch of the N500 million funds to expand the television station.

Seventy-two awardees, including two privately-run universities and an independent television station received honours for their contributions to the development of the Nigerian Baptist Convention and the sterling achievements they had made in their chosen careers.

Adeyemo got the Outstanding Legal Luminary of the Year, with the organisers noting his activities in the church and community service as yardsticks for the honour.

The senior advocate and Bankole were also recognised as legal luminaries on the honours’ list.

In a chat after the conferment of the award, Adeyemo told The Nation that he was grateful to the church for the recognition and promised to always monitor the activities of the station.

The TV station, dedicated to propagating the gospel of Jesus Christ across nations and beyond, has not deviated from spreading the gospel since inception.

The station, which has become a leading voice in the Nigerian Christian community, celebrated a decade of success in delivering the gospel across nations.

“Despite the challenges faced by the station, the NFTV has not stopped to maintain its commitment to delivering high quality programming, professional excellence and audience engagement and has also remained true to its mission of sharing love and truth of Jesus Christ with a diverse audience,” the Nigerian Baptist Convention said.
