‘Agile method crucial to economic transformation’

Nigeria needs transformation in both private  and public sector. This much-desired change could be achieved using the Agile Methodology which allows a paradigm shift towards an innovative and problem solving mind set, a group, Agile Practitioners of Nigeria  (APN), has said.

Speaking with reporters in Lagos at the weekend, The Agile Advisor Nigeria Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Abiodun Osoba, said driven by market needs, customer expectations, and evolving technological innovation, today’s changing business environment is forcing companies to adapt their Agile models of management and corporate governance—or risk being left behind.

According to her, the APN,  through its partners and members provide the opportunity that will allow organisations to connect with other industry leaders and share experiences and insights, helping all members and organisations to better navigate the emerging and complicated domain of business agility.

She said: “The ability to quickly adapt is the lifeblood of modern enterprises, and our partnership with Agile professionals in Nigeria will complement our mission to help organisations innovate, improve productivity, and remain relevant in our rapidly-changing world. Our membership will greatly benefit from this collaboration.”

She spoke during the second Annual Agile Nigeria Conference at Eko Hotel & Suites Victoria Island Lagos.

With Emerging Technologies and Businesses as its focus, the conference is dedicated to furthering Agile principles and providing a venue for people and ideas to flourish.

She said the main conclusions of the conference would be reflected and incorporated into the declaration of how Agile will the transform workplace, businesses and services as well as the adoption of Agile frameworks by the participants at the conference.
