FEMI Ajayi has spoken of his delight at signing for Ranger International FC of Enugu and admitted that he joined the club to win silverware.
The former Crown FC of Ogbomoso, who joined the Flying Antelopes from Dakkada FC, also revealed his aspiration to meet some personal targets in the coming season.
The attacking sensation, who was able to breach Rangers’ backline thrice in the abruptly ended 2019/2020 season in the colors of Dakkada F.C, said that he had dreamt of lacing his soccer boots for Rangers earlier than now but was happy it is coming to fruition now.
“Rangers are great side any day, anytime and I am glad to have found myself here. My modest target is to make my own little contribution with that of my team mates to help the team to a double in the coming season. What I have seen here is very welcoming as it is like a gathering of brothers with the same mind set,” Ajayi said.
Ajayi, who was rumored to have pitched tent with some other top flight clubs earlier in the open window period further stated, “Surely, every player do have personal targets and for me, it is to double my goals return for my last club while ensuring that the goals will lead us to the glory land with the assistance of my team mates.”
In a separate interview, last season’ top scorer in the NPFL, Israel Abia, has applauded the arrival of more quality legs in the team for the coming season.
“I am indeed very happy that we have more great players in our team which I believe will go a long way in helping us realize our dream of emerging double champions at the end of the season. With the caliber of coaches on ground coupled with the ever-reliable management team, we shall be the team to watch,” he said.
