British singer and songwriter, Aluna has released her latest single titled ‘Don’t Hit My Line’, featuring Nigerian music star, Tekno.
This single is coming after her 10-track collection Renaissance (Remixes) which she kicked off 2021 with, featuring club-ready, re-workings of tracks from her debut solo album, Renaissance.
‘Don’t hit my line’ is less than four-minute and sees the musicians crooning about the pain of a person who is unfortunate to be deeply in love with another who does not share a similar feeling.

Laced with infectious drum sounds and feel-good electric loops, the song also introduces music lovers to smooth vocals from Tekno, neatly tying together the hit while blending in touches of the irresistible Afrofusion sound.
According to Aluna, “Don’t Hit My Line’ is where I think the future of dance music is, where boundaries that have separated house music styles in Europe and Africa are being transcended to create a new sound, one that is welcoming and inclusive.”
2020 was a momentous year for Aluna, with her previous string of singles amassing nearly 40 million combined global streams and more than 10K global radio spins across 41 territories, garnering worldwide support from some of the world’s most respected radio stations, including BBC Radio 1, Triple J, KCRW, KEXP, and Sirius BPM, as well as ‘Envious’ being playlisted on Capital’s newest station, Capital Dance.
With additional support from Spotify’s New Music Friday, Aluna has been championed in more than 20 countries this year, as well as placing her on the cover of their flagship dance, while support from radio staples, Zane Lowe and Ebro Darden have also been pivotal in amplifying her solo project.
Aluna has continued to pull the strings with several beautiful projects and collaborations with other music stars including Rema.
The singer had earlier released Renaissance, her first solo album.
