An All Progressives Congress (APC), support group has called on President Muhammadu Buhari and other party leaders to wade into the crisis rocking the party.

The group, All Registered APC Support Groups in Nigeria (Aras-G), who made the call on Thursday, while speaking with newsmen in Abuja, said all must be done to restore peace and orderliness to the party.

National Chairman of the group, Ezedinma Nonso David, while addressing newsmen said, the president’s intervention would save the party from impending doom.

He lamented that the crisis was one of the results of the inability of the party leadership to manage and accommodate dissenting opinions within its ranks.

He called on the council leadership and NEC to critically discuss and implement issues that would save the party from collapsing.

According to him, “The embattled and suspended national chairman of APC, in line with the party constitution and the position of the law be removed if having seen that he has failed to put the party in a true progressive status.

“The support groups who at various levels worked tirelessly under risk to position this current administration and party has been sidelined.

While urging Nigerians to remain focused, he called on the leadership of the party to immediately reposition and reward the group who has been working for the progress of APC.
