APC governors hopeful of resolution

PROGRESSIVE Governors Forum (PGF), a platform of governor’s elected on the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket have expressed faith in the party leadership to resolve the crisis in Edo State ahead of the governorship election.

Chairman of the forum and Kebbi State Governor Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, stated this in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.

According to him, the governors in a teleconference on Saturday, “collectively agreed to work to ensure strengthening fair and democratic internal party mechanism for the selection of party candidates in all elections, especially in respect of Edo and Ondo states 2020 Governorship elections.”

Rising from its meeting, the APC governors expressed confidence in the party to resolve all current challenges and emerge stronger for the governirship elections in the two states.

The statement said they: “Unanimously reaffirmed the commitment of all Progressive Governors to work for the unity of our party.

“Forum members are confident that the party will resolve all current challenges and emerge stronger.”
