House of Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Obasa has urged leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State to maintain unity.
He said it was only through unity that the party could sustain its leading roles and victories in elections in the state and Nigeria.
Speaking when he received APC chairmen in the 57 local governments and local council development areas at the Assembly complex, Obasa, the chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, enjoined the politicians to maintain cordial relationship, work in the interest of the party and avoid deviation as a result of the quest for personal gains.
Speaking on behalf of the visiting chairmen, Prince Abiodun Abu hailed the Speaker for receiving them and for thinking of the best ways to help the state progress.

He noted that the APC chairmen would be happier if they were given more roles to play in the development of the state.
Lawmakers at the meeting included Deputy Speaker Wasiu Sanni-Eshinlokun, Temitope Adewale, Sylvester Ogunkelu, Kehinde Joseph and Sanni Okanlanwo.
