The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won Yenagoa Local Government Area where the Bayelsa State capital is located with its candidate, Chief David Lyon, scoring 24,607 to win his PDP’s counterpart, Senator Douye Diri, who polled 19,184.

Yenagoa has a total registered voters of 199,895. Out of the number 48,222 were accredited to vote at the poll.
