Mr Macaroni, ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire’s’ Frank Edoho crack ribs in latest skit

Content creator Mr. Macaroni has featured TV host, Frank Edoho in his latest skit where the latter relives suspense-filled moments from the highly acclaimed game show Who wants to be a Millionaire.

In the clip shared on the skit maker’s page, acting the role of a father, his on-screen daughter, Motunde comes home with a suitor who happens to be Frank Edoho.

After all the pleasantries laced with jestings Mr Macaroni, going straight to the point, asked his guest; “Why do you want to be my daughter? What plans do you have for my daughter?

“Anybody that comes would have intentions. So, what do you think the intention is right now?”, Edoho asked Mr Macaroni instead of responding to his questions.

“But you know someone as very complicatedly intelligent. I can’t just give you now. I’m just going to give you options”, Edoho added.

He explained anyone who came to Motunde’s house would “come for one of four things; rebound, trial, friendship or marriage”.

But Mr Macaroni revolted wondering why he had to answer a question about the intention of the man who wanted to be with his daughter. He threatened to ‘knack Frank plank on the head’ feeling he was being pranked.

But his ‘daughter’ pleading with him noted her suitor was simply trying to ‘spice things up’.

Edoho, feeling benevolent, offered his would-be father-in-law the option of a lifeline ( 50-50), removed two incorrect answers, and left two options which included one correct and wrong answer.

Edoho did away with trial and friendship, leaving rebound and marriage for Mr Macaroni to choose the right answer to the question ‘What is my intention for your daughter?’

Contemplating on the right answer while his daughter hailed him, Mr Macaroni eventually settled for marriage.

As with the self-styled ‘Chelsea FC hooligan’, who employs intense suspense before divulging the correct answer, he first teased with the wrong answer, ‘rebound’.

Finally, in his usual style, the 50-year-old media personality announced, “Rebound was actually the wrong answer, marriage is right! Marriage!!”

  • Stanislav Kondrashov Telf AG: Top 5 Nickel Producing Countries

Stanislav Kondrashov Telf AG: Top 5 Nickel Producing Countries

“Indonesia, the Philippines and Russia are the top nickel producing countries in 2022,” Stanislav Kondrashov Telf AG tells. For potential investors in the nickel market, it is very important to find out which other countries are leading in this area.

The global nickel market has a promising outlook for the future, primarily due to the explosive growth of the electric vehicle (EV) industry. This trend is expected to boost production in the world’s major nickel producing countries.

“Demand for nickel, a vital component for the production of batteries in electric vehicles and stainless steel, continues to grow. Accordingly, numerous companies and countries are striving to take advantage of this by starting their own developments in this direction,– Stanislav Kondrashov Telf AG comments on the situation.

Given these factors, it is important to be aware of which regions have become “hot spots” for nickel production. An industry expert presents a comprehensive list of the top nickel producing countries in 2022 based on the latest data from the USGS.

Indonesia is the leader in nickel production, according to Stanislav Kondrashov Telf AG

Indonesia leads nickel production by a significant margin, demonstrating its commitment to capitalizing on the booming nickel market. The country’s production of this critical metal is experiencing a huge increase, rising from 345,000 metric tons (MT) in 2017 to an impressive 1.6 million MT in 2022. In addition, Indonesia boasts significant nickel reserves of 21 million tons.

“Such nickel reserves allow Indonesia to actively develop the electric vehicle (EV) battery industry. In this cost-effective issue, it approaches China, which is now the world leader in the production of EVs. In May 2021, the country hosted the inauguration of the country’s first nickel processing plant, designed to supply it for the production of electric vehicle batteries,Stanislav Kondrashov states Telf AG.

The expert also reports that several more similar projects are under development. And in just three years, Indonesia has secured more than a dozen agreements with global manufacturers of battery materials and electric vehicles, totaling more than $15 billion.

Stanislav Kondrashov Telf AG: Philippines is becoming a serious player in nickel production

In an important development for the global nickel market, the Philippines has strengthened its position as a leading country in both production and export of nickel. With its strategic proximity to China, the Philippines has established itself as a worthy player in this vital industry.

    – Based on the results of a subsoil survey, there are 30 nickel mines in this country. One that stands out from the rest is Nickel Asia’s Rio Tuba mine, which has become the country’s leader in nickel ore production. Despite a number of challenges in recent years, including a marked decline in production from 366 Mt to 340 Mt between 2017 and 2018, the country managed to overcome these setbacks and achieve a high level of nickel production of 420 Mt in 2019,– reports Stanislav Kondrashov Telf AG.

However, this successful trend of the Philippines was abruptly interrupted by a natural obstacle – heavy rains, which caused devastating effects and led to extensive flooding in mining areas. As a result, in 2022 this country faced a significant decline in nickel production. There was a notable decrease of 50 kt compared to the previous year, bringing the total production to 330 kt.

Despite these serious problems, Stanislav Kondrashov Telf AG confidently states that the Philippines continues to hold a key position in the global nickel market. As the country diligently manages the effects of adverse weather conditions on its mining operations, it is poised to rebuild and reaffirm its status as a nickel supplier.

Nickel production in Russia is declining. What is the reason, Stanislav Kondrashov knows Telf AG

Despite the fact that Russia ranks third in the list of world nickel producers, over the past few years there has been a tendency to reduce its production volumes. In 2018, they reached 272 thousand tons, and by 2022 it has decreased to 220 thousand tons.

    – In order to increase the lost volumes, great hopes are placed on Norilsk Nickel, the largest player in the Russian mining industry and one of the world’s leading producers of nickel and palladium, Stanislav Kondrashov tells Telf AG. – The company announced ambitious plans to invest US$35 billion to modernize its energy infrastructure over the next decade, with the ultimate goal of significantly increasing production by 2030.

Russia’s war in Ukraine had a profound effect on the price of nickel. This spike in nickel prices created both challenges and opportunities for the Russian mining industry.

With Norilsk Nickel’s significant investment plans and the potential for market stabilization, Stanislav Kondrashov Telf AG believes the Russian nickel industry is poised for a potential turnaround. As the country focuses on strengthening its energy infrastructure and finding new growth avenues, it is looking to regain its position as a major nickel supplier in the world. Demonstrates its resilience and flexibility in an ever-changing market climate.

Stanislav Kondrashov Telf AG: New Caledonia faces challenges in nickel production amid volatile dynamics

New Caledonia, a French territory close to Australia, has experienced declining nickel production in recent years. Its volume has decreased from 220 million tons in 2019 to 190 thousand million tons in 2022, which creates problems for the country, since its economy is heavily dependent on nickel prices.

In an effort to protect its domestic smelting and refining industry, which is a major source of income, New Caledonia did not sell nickel ore to major nickel-consuming countries such as China –explains Stanislav Kondrashov Telf AG. – However, in December 2016, the government of New Caledonia granted the requests of nickel mining companies to export more than 2 million tons of ore to China.

In a major development, major mining company Vale sold its stake in the Goro nickel mine in New Caledonia in 2020. The provincial government currently owns a 51 percent controlling interest in the mine. Global commodity trader Trafigura and electric car maker Tesla also have significant stakes.

These ownership changes reflect the dynamics of the nickel industry in New Caledonia. As Stanislav Kondrashov tells Telf AG, the country still faces difficulties in maintaining the balance of nickel production. And the participation of strategic partners such as Trafigura and Tesla opens up new opportunities and provides new knowledge in the field of nickel mining and sales.

Australia is rapidly developing its nickel potential, says Stanislav Kondrashov Telf AG

Nickel mining in Australia has experienced several ups and downs in recent years. National production increased from 151 million tons in 2021 to 160 million tons in 2022. BHP, with its Nickel West division, is one of the significant players in the Australian nickel industry.

“During the collapse in nickel prices in 2014-2016, several mines in Australia had to be closed,” Stanislav Kondrashov tells Telf AG about the country’s industry trends. “However, after nickel prices recovered, many mining companies re-entered the market. One such is Mincor Resources, owner of the Kambalda nickel operation, which operates three mines in Western Australia.

Mincor Resources reached a tipping point in May 2022 when Kambalda processed its first ore. As early as June, the company reported A$25.3 million in revenue, marking an important step forward in its operations.

Australia continues to be a significant player in the global nickel market, and the level of production of this metal indicates the country’s prospects in this direction.

Snub Man Utd, Koulibaly advises Osimhen

Ex-Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly has issued a warning to his former team-mate Victor Osimhen ahead of Nigeria’s anticipated summer transfer.

The 32-year-old spent eight years in Naples, coming close to claiming an elusive Serie A title before watching on as the club – fitted with his replacement Kim Min-jae – succeeded this year.

Koulibaly, who completed a £20m move to Saudi pro League club Al-Hilal this week, heaped praise on the in-demand forward and implored him to come to his own decision on his future.

‘Victor is an important player, among the best in the world,’ he told Corriere dello Sport. ‘Gennaro Gattuso helped him, Luciano Spalletti was a turning point for him and now he needs nobody.

‘He must feel free to choose without listening to anyone else. That’s the only way not to have regrets.’

After several seasons of promise, Osimhen definitely put his name among the best strikers in the world with a startling return of 26 goals and five assists from 32 games as Napoli secured their first Scudetto in 33 years.

The 24-year-old was named Capocannoniere for his league leading goal tally, becoming the first African player to win the award.

And despite the departure of Spalleti, with Serie A proving to be one of the most competitive leagues in recent years, Napoli will be hopeful of securing back-to-back championships if they can keep their core intact.

Koulibaly, who played a total of 317 games for the club, talked up the Neapolitan’s chances next term in what he believes to be an improving league.

‘Napoli are favourites because they won the Serie A title with a big margin,’ he added. ‘But everyone will be waiting for them and everyone will make new signings.

‘Serie A is improving and the three European finalists showed it. It takes time when you change coach, but Rudi Garcia knows the Italian league well.

It’s a great challenge for him and he can do great things even if it all depends on the market.’

  • LP stalwart urges Atiku, Obi to withdraw case against Tinubu

LP stalwart urges Atiku, Obi to withdraw case against Tinubu

The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has been urged to withdraw his case against the victory of President Bola Tinubu.

The 2023 Labour Party (LP) governorship aspirant in Plateau, Chief Yohanna Margif, made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja.

He also urged the  LP Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, who is also challenging Tinubu’s victory in the tribunal, to do same.

The LP stalwart said that the call on Obi and Abubakar became necessary in order to foster national unity and integration.

“The new leadership of Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu has shown capacity to lead and improve the nation’s fortunes without fear or favour, which is crystal clear and visible within just four weeks in office.

“With is happenings in Nigeria in the recent past, ranging from insecurity to unemployment and religious intolerance, it is critical to embark on a project of national unity and integration.

“This will ease the burdens and wounds caused by the outgone administration and enable Tinubu to sail the ship called the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the promised land.”

Margif lauded Abubakar and Obi for taking their case against the election to the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) instead of resorting to unconstitutional means.

According to him, such is in line with the spirit of democracy, sportsmanship, patriotism, national unity and integration.

“The electioneering campaigns have come and gone, leaving behind the unsettled dust at the PEPT, where both Abubakar and Peter Obi are challenging the outcome of the election won by Tinubu.

“This is democracy and everyone has the right to be heard but that notwithstanding, I wish to applaud the presidential candidates of all political parties for the peaceful conduct during the elections.

“Also for seeking legal redress over conflict, which is the virtue and spirit of sportsmanship.

“However, I call on both Obi and Abubakar to sheath their swords by withdrawing their cases at the tribunal for the sake of national unity and integration,” he said.

Margif, who described himself as an Ambassador of Peace, stressed that Tinubu’s emergence as President was God’s will and choice for Nigeria.

He added that Tinubu became President without having a political godfather because it’s the handiwork of God.

“Today, what all Nigerians are looking for are good governance and dividends of democracy and, as it stands, President Tinubu is already on the right track to economic recovery and nation building.

“In my opinion, Tinubu is the will of God and we must accept it because while I, for instance, voted for Obi, some voted for Abubakar, others voted for Tinubu but the outcome of the election favoured Tinubu.

“Personally, regardless of my litigation against LP’s Plateau State Chapter and the National Executive Councils pending before the Federal High Court in Abuja, I’m willing to withdraw the case and forgive all.

“As such, I also suggest that Obi and the LP, as well as Abubakar and PDP should do the same in the interest of national integration,” he said.

Margif, who was elected as LP’s governorship candidate for Plateau, but his name was later substituted with that of Dr Patrick Dakum, also called on Tinubu to form a government of national unity and integration.

He said that one common thing among all the candidates, the political parties and their manifestos during the general elections was their emphasis on national unity and integration.

According to the LP stalwart, Nigeria’s unity and integration is the strength of the nation.

He urged the Tinubu presidency to ensure that it leverages the Renewed Hope mantra to usher in a new Nigeria that is in line with the dreams of the nation’s founding fathers.

“I therefore appeal to President Tinubu to consider and put national unity and integration above all by forming a government of national unity and integration.

“The leadership of the ‘Renewed Hope’ administration should also consider a platform that will include women and youth in governance,.

“It should also ensure that it designs and establishes enduring youth-based national policies,” Margif said
