    Rick Ross gushes over Ayra Starr

    Music sensation Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe aka Ayra Starr has received special recognition from famous American rapper Rick Ross.

    The rap star whose second annual car show is set to take place this weekend in Fayetteville, GA, made a special shout-out to the Mavin star girl in a viral video.

    In the video, Ross who visited Nigeria in April 2023 for his Live in Lagos concert, hinted at returning to the country soon.

    Describing Ayra as a beautiful superstar, the 53-year-old mogul holding a Bumbu cognac in the viral clip, made a toast to her, assuring they’d celebrate like bosses on his next visit to Nigeria.

    He said: “It’s the biggest boss in the world, Rick Ross, Ricki Rozay. And I wanna take it all the way to Nigeria, to a superstar, beautiful, the one and only Ayra Starr. And when you are a boss like us, you enjoy Bumbu.

    “So, ama make a toast to Ayra Starr, Nigeria. When I come over there, we gonna celebrate like bosses. Let’s hol’ it up, baby. Let’s hol’ the Bumbu up! Nigeria, all around the world, let’s go!”

    Civil Society Groups hail Armed Forces, police for peaceful transition

    The Armed Forces and Police have been commended for ensuring peaceful, seamless and successful transition of power on May 29. 

    The Coalition of Civil Society Groups on Sustenance of Democracy and Peace in Africa gave the commendation at a briefing on Thursday in Abuja.

    Its Executive Director, Dr. Ifure Ataifure, said the Armed Forces and Police ensured that the enemies of democracy were neutralised.

    “The role of the Nigerian Police in the conduct of the 2023 General Elections in Nigeria must be emphasized,” Ataifure said. 

    “From our findings, the Nigerian Police ensured that election materials and electoral officials were provided adequate security during and after the elections. This resulted in minimal cases of electoral violence across the country.

    “The Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria were exceptional and largely instrumental in the relative peace experienced across the country. 

    “The Armed Forces provided much-needed support to the Nigerian Police and other security agencies. 

    “The Armed Forces also ensured the success of the transition process from one democratically elected government to another.

    “It was observed that groups and individuals that planned to disrupt the process were adequately addressed. This is indicative of the role of the Armed Forces in the preservation of democracy in Nigeria.

    “The Coalition of Civil  Society Groups on the Sustenance of Democracy and Peace in Nigeria is using this medium to commend the security agencies for their invaluable contributions to the success of the 2023 General Elections in Nigeria and the smooth transition of power from one democratically elected government to another. 

    “The Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria ensured that threats to democracy in Nigeria were neutralized. 

    “In our opinion, this indicates that the Armed Forces of Nigeria has remained the bastion of democracy in the country. “

    She stated female colleagues found it tougher to accept her because of her unique style.

    “Then I started walking. If you noticed, it was so awkward for me. I was walking, I was running. I didn’t know what to do…It came to me as a shock.”

    Media and communications specialist, Enioluwa Adeoluwa aka Eni has stated he’s finally found something he can’t eat despite being a well-known ‘foodie’.

    Eni, who accompanied Hilda Bassey on her homecoming to her country home in Akwa-Ibom after several hundred physically showed her support for her 100-hour cook-a-thon, said he found that one thing he couldn’t bring himself to eat during his trip in the South-South state.

    He confessed to having summoned the courage to consume the supposed ‘delicacy’ after much pressure from others yet he couldn’t.

    “I finally found something I can’t eat, and it was in Akwa-Ibom. ‘Dog Meat’ I just can’t.”

    The Nation reports Hermes mentioned being in two relationships while in the house. 

    In an interview with BTS reality podcast, he said he is still in those relationships and they are friends.

    Hermes said: “I am still in two relationships. Both of them are friends.

    Kizz Daniel hires former label boss as own label’s CEO

    In an unexpected move, singing sensation Kizz Daniel has recruited Emperor Geezy, the head of his former record label, to join his own.

    Kizz Daniel, who rose to prominence under the guidance of Emperor Geezy, the founder of G-Worldwide Entertainment revealed in a recent interview with media personality, Angela Yee on New York’s Power 105.1 FM that he appointed his former boss and new CEO of his own record label, Fly Boi Inc.

    The “Woju” crooner also disclosed he’d signed a new artiste, Pryme, to his music label.

    He said: “Recently, I stepped down from being the CEO of Fly Boi Inc. So, I signed up Emperor Geezy as the new CEO of Fly Boi Inc. And we just signed a new artist, Prime; that’s his name. He’s really good. He’s also on my upcoming album.”

    In 2017, Kizz Daniel’s relationship with G-Worldwide Entertainment turned sour, leading to a highly publicised legal battle over his contract.

    Eventually, he parted ways with the label, establishing his own label, Flyboy Inc.

    The court case lingered for a long while prompting Vado to change his stage name from Kiss Daniel to Kizz Daniel.

    But last year, Kizz mended fences with his former boss, born Festus Ehimare.

    The duo was seen having a good time together. Also in a music video on Instagram, Emperor Geezy was spotted dancing to Daniel’s ‘Oshe’ which was his latest single at the time.

    The singer wrote in the post, “Peace, love, and respect.”

    Singer Temmie Ovwasa aka YBNL princess has said she’d rather go to hell than be ‘stuck with Christians in heaven’.

    Ovwasa, who proudly identifies as a lesbian and non-binary, stated this on ‘Doyin’s Corner’ podcast with BBNaija star, Doyinsola David playing the host where she labelled Christians as the ‘meanest people she’s ever met in her life’.

    Known to have released the first openly queer album, Ovwasa frankly discussed her tense relationship with Christians, stating her perception of their alleged cruelty towards her.

    Because of her sexuality, the singer said she is constantly harassed by Christians who accuse her of living in opposition to teaching of Christ and continually mock her.

    She acknowledged making jokes about going to hell to get people’s attention but noted she wouldn’t go there as she didn’t think such a place existed.

    “I don’t think I am going to hell, I joke about it often because it gets on people’s nerves and I love to do that. But I don’t think I am going to hell, I don’t believe in hell”, said the visual artist.

    “I don’t think there is a pit of eternal damnation that I am going to. I rather go there than be stuck with Christians in Heaven.

    “I think Christians are the meanest people I have met in my life. 

    “They come into my DMs every day, to tell me that I am going to hell and that’s not what Jesus was preaching.”
