    Jazzy in a TikTok video said he was still open to finding love.

    He said he’d continue to search for it till the end of the year.

    He shared an hilarious TikTok video that sees his image sailing in a boat with sweat dripping down his face like one who’s exhausted from his mission.

    Tinubu mourns Senator Wamakko’s Wife

    The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commiserated with former Sokoto Governor, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, over the death of his wife, Hajiya Atika Wamakko.

    He described the passage of Hajiya Wamako on Sunday at a private Hospital in Abuja after a brief illness as saddening.

    In a condolence message to Senator Wamakko by his Media Office on Wednesday, Tinubu wished Hajiya Wamakko eternal rest.

    He said: “I received the news about the passing of Hajiya Atika Wamakko, the beloved wife of Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, with deep sadness.

    “On behalf of my family, I express my deepest condolences to the former governor of Sokoto and his family.

    Speaking to her fans, the ‘Cupcakes’, the recently engaged Cuppy explained she’s been inactive online lately due to intense happiness. .

    “My dear Cupcakes, sorry I haven’t been active on social media recently… I’ve just been really HAPPY and ENJOYING my real life tbh,” she tweeted.

    A few days after her 30th birthday, the celebrity DJ got engaged to a British boxer and YouTuber Ryan Taylor.

    TCN adds 98MW to grid

    The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has added 98MW to the national grid.

    It also energized the brand new 2X60MVA, 132/33kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) at Gwarinpa, Abuja.

    Its General Manager, Public Affairs, Mrs. Ndidi Mbah, announced these in a statement.

    She noted the 132kV transmission substation is one of the five substation projects comprising the Abuja Ring Projects, funded by Agence Francais de Development (AFD).

    According to her, the substation which has six feeders through which bulk electricity is transmitted to Abuja Electricity Distribution Company’s (AEDCs) load centers, receives bulk supply from the Katampe 132kV Transmission line. With the connection of the substation to the transmission network, TCN has added over 98 megawatts to the national grid.

    The other four substation projects are at various stages of completion. Two would soon be energized while the other two are ongoing.

    Significantly on completion of the entire project, the FCT and environs would have an adequate power supply for the next 50 years.

    The Abuja Ring Project is one of the several projects being executed by TCN to further expand the transmission grid. TCN would not rest on it oars but would continue to work towards further expanding the nation’s grid, to put in place a very robust transmission network that would continue to efficiently transmit bulk electricity to Distribution load centers nationwide.

    AU funds anti-corruption platform

    The African Union (AU) through funding from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) has begun funding an anti-corruption technology platform.

    The civic engagement platform ‘ifollowthemoney’ seeks to empower youths with the right tools to seek and demand change and ultimately benefit from the dividends of democracy.

    GIZ’s Adeshina Sylvester said the organisation partners and supports the AU on ways to connect with innovative actors in the continent, particularly in the governance and civic space.

    Sylvester said this in Abuja at the presentation of the ifollowthemoney APK platform hosted on Web and Android play store by Connected Development (CODE).

    He said: “GIZ supports the AU to think about ways to connect with innovative actors in the continent, particularly the governance and civic space. I am excited that CODE and particularly Follow the Money is a beneficiary of our Civic tech fund, we are glad that our support has contributed in a small way to the discussions we are having today. We are proud of the work so far, we would continue to seek opportunities and support the work that you do.”

    Founder CODE and Follow the Money, Hamzat Lawal said ifollowthemoney is a tool that seeks to reach over seven million people across Africa.

    He added: “Follow the Money is now uploaded into the web, android and IOS platforms in Kenya, the Gambia, Malawi, Cameron, Liberia, Zimbabwe, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Cape Verde and Nigeria. It’s going to be in six International languages which are Arabic, French, Swahili, Portuguese, English and Amharic.

    “We are doing this to ensure that citizens in these countries are able to use data and evidence based outreaches to hold their countries to account.”

    Lawal added that knowing that the African continent is plagued with corrupt practices where citizens most times do not have the platform to air their grievance or report some of these corrupt issues in their various communities.

    The platform provides a unique avenue where citizens can document their needs and provide information on how governments is providing various interventions around basic education, health care, access to water, sanitation and hygiene and infrastructure.

    The development came weeks after he was asked to step down following his comments about the Labour Party(LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi.

    Singer Slami Ifeanyi shot dead in Anambra

    Singer and songwriter Slami Ifeanyi has been shot dead.

    Ifeanyi, a former ‘Mr Anambra Universe’, was reportedly shot dead on Sunday by gunmen in his home state.

    According to reports, the 31-year-old model was driving alone in his newly acquired Lexus 330 when he was attacked and killed at Umubere, Akwa area of the capital.

    The lifeless body of the deceased could be seen hanging from the car in a pool of his blood in a video on the internet on Tuesday.

    Reacting to the brutal killing of Ifeanyi, one Itz Macarthy, a digital director, said it was shocking and painful.

    He wrote: “Dear Slami Ifeanyi am just so shocked and pained getting the news of your demise. I remember the first time we met at a club in Awka.

    Ekiti Assembly reinstates three suspended lawmakers

    The rank of the lawmakers supporting former Ekiti Speaker Gboyega Aribisogan has been further depleted as the Assembly reinstated three of the suspended lawmakers.

    The lawmakers are Yemisi Ayokunle (Ekiti Southwest); Ajibade Raphael (Moba) and Tope Ogunleye (Ilejemeje).

    Following the removal of Aribisogan and the emergence of Hon. Bunmi Adelugba as Speaker, a fierce battle started between the duo determined to undo each other.

    The Assembly slammed an indefinite suspension on Aribisogan and six others for allegedly working against the interest of the party and preference for Adelugba.

    One of those that were hammered was Hon Balogun representing Ado constituency 2.

    But, the Assembly at its parliamentary on Tuesday, lifted the suspension on the lawmakers following the adoption of the motion moved by the Majority Leader Bode Adeoye and seconded by Biodun Fawekun.

    These were contained in a statement signed by the Chairman of the House Committee on Media and Publicity, Hon Adeoye Aribasoye.

    The statement reads: “The Ekiti State House of Assembly today, 29 day of November, 2022 at her plenary sitting lifted the suspension earlier placed on Hons Tope Ogunleye, Yemisi Ayokunle and Ajibade Rapheal Adeyemi.

    “The reinstatement is consequent to the consideration of their various letters of apology to the house and fulfillment of other conditions attached thereto.

    “The three honourable members are therefore readmitted to the Ekiti legislative fold with all their rights and privileges restored.”

    Katsina Governor Aminu Bello Masari has stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu is the best choice for Nigeria in 2023.

    He said Tinubu towers above other presidential candidates in terms of records, pedigrees and achievements.

    Masari spoke in an exclusive interview with The Nation in his office in Katsina.

    He described Tinubu as a national asset that will continue to benefit Nigerians if elected.

    According to Masari: ’’Tinubu’s record while in office when he employed people of all races, also a former Senator, philanthropist, pro-democracy activist and benefactor are there for all to see.

    On the chances of APC in Katsina State, the Governor said his achievements in the past eight years and credibility of candidates the party is presenting will guarantee it electoral victory.

    The tribes, he said, are just the poor and rich.

    He lamented that the number of the poor is overwhelmingly higher than the rich.

    He argued the rich were able to achieve that because the poor have bluntly resisted standing together to fight for their liberation.
