    I’m the greatest artist, rave of the moment – Singer Skales

    Sensational singer Raoul John Njeng-Njeng aka Skales has stated he was underrated in the music industry.

    According to Skales, he is the greatest artist and unapologetic about saying the truth.

    Skales spoke on Hip TV programme, Trending, hosted by reality star, KimOprah.

    The ‘Shake Body’ crooner also disclosed that he was battling with low self-esteem during the early years of his career.

    He said: “I just rediscovered myself from 2020. I’ve been dealing with a lot of low self-esteem. Even while I have all the big songs in the world, I still doubt myself. But now, I’m more confident.

    “I believe I’m among the set that started taking afrobeats to the world. I was honoured and opportune to be part of it. I tell myself I’m the greatest artist out there. This is no disrespect to anybody. It’s just my opinion of myself. I believe that I’m the rave of the moment because where I’m right now musically is inspiring.”

    Celebrity singer Divine Ikubor aka Rema has hailed his hardwork and dedication to the music industry as he clearly said he earned himself a spot in Afrobeats Hall of Fame.

    Mavin signee said quitting music isn’t a part of his plan anytime soon but if he decides to do so now, his name would still to “be on the Afrobeats bible”.

    He said if there were an Afrobeats bible, he would be on the front page of the “New Testament.”

    “I’m not saying I want to stop. But if I say I want to stop right now, my name is still going to be on the Afrobeats bible, if there is an Afrobeats bible to be dropped. I’ll literally be in the New Testament, on the front page,” he said.

    The ‘Calm Down’ crooner also recounted how he was mocked because of his Bollywood-soundtrack-themed sound when he hit stardom in 2019.

    He said: “Everything they doubted, everything they laughed at me for, I built on it. They called me Indian Boy; I went to India. I’m the first artist to shut down four cities in India, 5000 capacity and above. No one can deny that I’ve impacted Afrobeats on a global scale.”

    Entertainment industry can generate billions for economy – Comedian Dr Smile

    Celebrity stand-up comedian, Olamilekan Abegunde aka Dr. Smile, has advised the Federal Government on investing in the entertainment industry.

    He said the government has lost billions that could have helped the country’s economy.

    Dr. Smile lamented that those in government have ‘killed’ the nation’s entertainment industry instead of tapping into it as an alternative source of revenue generation.

    The comedian regretted that the government at all levels has not been supporting the entertainment industry, and this has forced many players to host their shows and events somewhere else.

    Abegunde spoke on Wednesday at a press conference heralding his comedy show, tagged ‘Why Not Smile’ in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

    While saying his forthcoming show would feature comedians like Alibaba, Basket Mouth, Julius Agwu, Seyi Law and others, Abegunde called on Governors to create an enabling environment for entertainers and start sponsoring them.

    “Apart from Lagos state, what we have seen in the recent time is that government has not been encouraging players in the industry to host events and this has stifled the growth of the industry.

    “Government needs to come in and support this industry so that it can grow. The entertainment industry can generate billions for the economy. Government has continued to lose money that could have come from this industry,” he said.

    Michael Jackson ranks highest paid dead on Forbes list

    Late renowned American singer, Michael Jackson, fondly called ‘King of Pop’, has topped the list of the world’s highest-paid dead celebrities of 2023.

    According to Forbes magazine’s 2023 annual list released on Tuesday, October 31, Micheal Jackson is worth $115 million in earnings.

    This is the first time Jackson has held the top spot in four years.

    Jackson’s late father-in-law, Elvis Presley came in second place with an estimated $100 million in earnings.

    Other deceased celebrities who made the top 13 deceased list include Bob Marley, Prince, John Lennon, and Whitney Houston.

    The late celebrities earned a rough estimate of $470 million during the past year. A 70 percent decrease from 2022.

    They were ranked based on their pretax earnings from sales, licensing deals, streams and other sources of income between October 1, 2022, and September 30, 2023.

    Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, has opened up on the reason he mocked comedian AY Makun over the firebreak that razed his multimillion-naira mansion in Lagos.

    He said he made a mockery of his situation as payback for the sensitive jokes he cracked over his altercation with police and prison ordeal and even portrayed his daughter as a “dog.”

    Justifying his action, Kuti lambasted AY, describing him as “unfunny”, “dry goat with smelly mouth.”

    He claimed that everyone in the entertainment industry knows that AY has mouth odour.

    Speaking during a recent Instagram live session with fans, Kuti said: “They say I dey laugh Ayo Makun say him house burn. You know follow me often because people wey dey follow me often go tell say the day gangan wey the house burn, I went live.

    “As the house dey burn, as dem dey try quench the fire, I was on live.     “That unfunny modaf**ker. That dry goat with smelly mouth. His mouth dey smell. Ask anybody in the industry except they want to lie to you. My own daughter he portray as dog. That one wey dem beat his wife for house. No woman for his life go ever respect him because I’m sure his children have seen him beating his wife.”

    Tacha seeks clarity on alleged impeachment move against Governor Fubara

    Ex-Big Brother Naija’s housemate, Natacha Akide aka Tacha, has questioned the alleged plot by the Rivers State House of Assembly to impeach Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

    The alleged impeachment move against Fubara by some members of the state House of Assembly has been causing chaos in the state.

    Reacting via a video message shared on her social media page, Tacha queried the decision by the lawmakers to have the incumbent governor removed without any reasonable or justifiable reason to that effect.

    The radio host said this is coming at a time when the Governor isn’t fully settled on how to drive the people of Rivers to a safe destination.

    She said: “You people see what’s currently going on in Rivers State, right? These are things I talked about months ago but some of you said, ‘Rest, what do you know about politics?’ You forgot that what goes around, comes around.

    “Who do you tell me that a sitting Governor they are trying to impeach him. This is a Governor who just assumed office. We are trying to understand his ideas and plans for Rivers State and they are planning to impeach him for no reason. But they are trying to impeach a Governor that has done nothing.

    “How can a current Governor be getting teargassed and they are pouring water on him? What will happen to me and you? So, we are just ***. That’s what it is na.

    “Tell us what Sim Fubara has done and we would stand by you and chase him out. This Governor just got into seat, let us give him a chance to show what his plans are for Rivers State. I’m sure he has good plans. Rivers State people stand by your Governor.”

    Actor Yomi Fabiyi has berated those constantly ‘bullying’ Mr. Joseph Aloba, father of late singer, MohBad.

    Since the controversial death of the 27-year-old, Mr. Joseph Aloba has been dragged on the social space for grieving awkwardly by fighting what some described as the wrong cause.

    This comes after Mohbad’s father stated his intense dislike for his daughter-in-law, Wunmi who he accused of using black magic to control his son until he died.

    He accused the wife of the late singer of lacing Mohbad’s food with sleeping pills whenever she wanted to cheat, her cheating partners who he says are residents of the Marlian household.

    Addressing critics who slammed the late singer’s father over his statement against his daughter-in-law, the actor warned those bullying Mohbad’s father to desist or attract curses on themselves.

    He maintained that Mohbad’s father was the only person who had the right to lay such weighty allegations against his daughter-in-law, whilst stating that it was delusional and evil to attack the late singer’s father for grieving in the best way he can.

    He said: “I mean bold to say it, NO CHILD HAS SPENT ON THE PARENT MORE THAN HE SPENDS ON SELF. And no where any parent has ever complained about this.

    “If you don’t want to inherit curse with your own children, STOP BULLYING MOHBAD’S FATHER AND DICTATING TO HIM HOW TO GRIEVE AND WHAT HE HAS RIGHT TO FIGHT FOR THAT CONCERNS HIS DECEASED CHILD WHO DIED IN SERIES OF CONTROVERSIAL CIRCUMSTANCES. You are defaming the man way too much. STOP NOW!

    “Upright women and men on social media, don’t fall for all these fake social media accounts, blogs and personalities that try to set the man up for bullying. They are delusional and evil. They should watch it because they have children too.

    Reality star Ifu Ennada has shared how for years she was crazingly the giver and romantic one in a relationship.

    In an Instagram story post, the reality star recounted when she was in a long-distance relationship four years ago with a man who lived on a different continent.

    To prove her worth in the relationship, she often ordered gifts and had them delivered to her ex-partner as a way of cheering him up in his dark days.

    She said this went on and it dawned on her after she marked her birthday and didn’t get the same treatment from her supposed lover.

    According to the entrepreneur, God has delivered her from the one-sided and unreciprocated love and energy.

    “I never got this same treatment, not even on my birthday.
    This was about 4yrs ago. I thank God for delivering me from stupidity,” she wrote.

    She revealed that she believes in marriage and plans to marry, but she expects her future husband to be tolerant and supportive of her acting profession.

    During an interview with NollyNow, the Imo state-born actress stated: “My mom and dad were married and the marriage lasted long before I lost my dad in 2020.” “I am a firm believer in marriage and having children.”

    She added: “As much as I wouldn’t want to have children out of wedlock, marriage is something I would embrace in the long run. Although I’m not in a relationship at the moment, I want to meet someone who understands that I love my acting career.

Others said I appear to be outspoken and fearless when it comes to issues that affect other people. “In my normal life, I am more of an introvert but people don’t believe me. I can be an introvert as well as an extrovert. But I am more of an introvert, I love my space, I love to be alone most of the time. I do not put my real life into my acting. I just play my role and come out of the character as soon as I am done.”
