For their personal qualities, behaviors and achievements, Oluwagbenga Oluwafemi Dawodu, comedian and event compere popularly known as ‘Kristen Dawodu’ has listed out Entertainers that inspire him to strive and excel.
For the 23 year old Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State indigene, his love for entertainment made him venture into the industry.
“I fell in love with being entertained and entertaining people from childhood; it’s an in born thing for me. From onset, I have always admired Boss Ay Comedian ( Ayo Makun), Basket Mouth, Alibaba among others. I honestly do look forward to being a successful and great entertainer like them,” he told The Nation.
The US-based graduate of Business Administration Graduate from Tai Solarin University, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State also revealed the obstacles he faced as a green horn in showbiz.
Hear him; “The major challenge I faced was having to convince people to get used to my entertainment life. And I think it’s one of the things most Entertainers faced while coming up. However, I overcame these challenges with persistency. I never gave up. I continued doing what I know how to do best, I didn’t allow anything or anybody weigh me down. People always presume a paid a particular prize for fame. But frankly speaking, I paid no price; it’s just the grace of God that has been sustaining me.”
The budding entertainer who loves African quotes says he drives joy and fulfilment in reaching out to the less privileges and making a notable impact.
“I love to entertain my fans by posting short African quotes just to keep up with them, but then, you have to be an African to understand them. It’s basically African quotes. I’m also philanthropist; I have been taking my time to provide and bless people through my social platform. This is another part of me that I love most. Although, I do not have a foundation yet, but I derive pleasure and fulfilment in reaching out to the needy. I always reach out to Little Saints Orphanage Home and I hope to do more,” he assured.
