When Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, joined other well-wishers to celebrate with the immediate past governor of the state, Ayodele Fayose, on his son, Tomiwa’s wedding, the general feeling was that the two politicians had put their differences behind them.
At the recent birthday celebration of Fayemi’s 55th birthday last Sunday in Ado-Ekiti, Fayose was one of the top missing personalities. While the reason behind his absent is still unclear, it certainly couldn’t be because of any issues as the body language between them at the aforementioned occasion was quite warm.
Dignitaries at Fayemi’s birthday celebration included Gov Okeize Ikpeazu of Abia; Gov Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto; Gov Jide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos; Gov Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo; Gov Dapo Abiodun of Ogun; Gov Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi; Gov Abubakar Badaru Jigawa; Gov Godwin Obaseki of Edo; Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Bisi Egbeyemi; former Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko and former Osun State Deputy Governor, Iyiola Omisore.
