Police in Kaduna said they killed a bandit and foiled an attempt to kidnap an Indian in the Dankande area of Igabi local council.

The command said four loaded AK47 magazines were recovered from the scene.

Police said the bandit was killed after a gun batlle with kidnappers who were bent on kidnapping the Indian national.

Spokesman Mohammad Jalige in a statement yesterday policemen fell into the hoodlums’ ambush but overpowered them and saved the expatriate from being taken away by the criminals.

Jalige said, “The recovered body has been deposited at the morgue.”
