Bandits kill 10 in two Kaduna councils

Barely 24 hours after the killing of seven persons in villages of Igabi and Kajuru councils, bandits have again killed 10 people in Zangon Kataf and Chikun local government areas of Kaduna State.

The latest killings happened during attacks on Kurmin Gandu in Zango Kataf, Sabon Gayan and Ungwan Turai in Chikun local government area.

Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who confirmed the attacks, said the bandits also razed 10 houses, two motorcycles and 50 bags of ginger in Kurmin Gandu.

“As of the time of this update, troops of Operation Thunder Strike are combing identified criminal hideouts in the Sabon Gayan area, following reports that several bandits sustained bullet wounds,” he said.
