THE Bayelsa State Government said it would revert to its earlier order on lockdown of the state as part of measures to prevent the spread of the dreaded COVID-19. The new regime began yesterday.
The state government had last Thursday relaxed its lock down directive on worship centres to enable Christians to participate in the Easter celebrations.

Large congregation churches were allowed 50 worshipers at a time, while smaller churches were permitted to have 20 worshipers for their Easter programmes.
Governor Douye Diri through a statement by his Acting Chief Press Secretary, Mr Daniel Alabrah, said the Easter celebrations were over, but the battle against COVID-19 was still on.
Diri thanked the churches for complying with the directive during Easter, saying that reverting to the total lock down of the state underscored the importance his administration placed on safety and wellbeing of its residents.
