OFFICIALS of Benue State Action Committee on COVID-19 on Thursday intercepted a vehicle conveying the body of a Coronavirus casualty, Peter Aiv Kogi, to the outskirts of Awajir town in Konshisha Local Government Area for burial.
Kogi was said to have died of the virus in Kano and conveyed to Benue State for burial.

The committee reportedly got wind of the development and mounted a roadblock at Jato, near Aliade, headquarters of Gwer East Local Government Area.
With the combined efforts of Konshisha and Gwer East COVID-19 teams, the state officials intercepted the vehicle conveying the body.
All the four persons in the vehicle were quarantined last night.
