Without doubt, popular Lagos prophet, Israel Oladele Ogundipe, who recently regained freedom after spending time in prison, has cause to smile and celebrate again.

But for divine intervention, the cleric would have missed the wedding of his younger sister, Seyifunmi, who got married a few days ago; the same way he spent his 47th birthday in jail.

However, it was a moment of excitement and one to relish for him, as he played father role, standing in for his father, who died years ago.

Social Circuit gathered that the engagement ceremony between the families of late Pa Solomon/Deaconess Dorcas Ogundipe and Mr.\Mrs. Oyelakin took place at Agbado-Ijaiye, Lagos State.

Seyifunmi Ogundipe and Pelumi Oyelakin’s engagement ceremony didn’t start until Prophet Ogundipe arrived the venue with his entourage. Before then, Ogundipe went to his late father’s grave, where he offered prayers.

A key moment of the wedding proceeding was when the groom’s bride price was rejected. Ogundipe said his late father had warned him that whenever his younger sister was to get married, they should not collect any money.

He said: “Seyi was precious to my father when he was alive and he warned me that whatever anybody should offer, we shouldn’t collect it; and for that we say ‘thank you.’ You all saw that when I entered into the premises, the first place I went was my dad’s burial ground; so I have to fulfill what he told me before he died.”
