President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday met with members of the All Progressives Congress Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, led by the Governor of Yobe State, Mr. Mai Mala Buni.

The meeting was held behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Buhari, at the meeting approved the planned nationwide registration of party members.

Speaking to State House correspondents after the meeting, governor Buni said the committee is progressing its reconciliation efforts.

Answering question on the issue of the committee’s tenure, Buni said only the party’s National Executive Committee can decide on it.
