The Katsina Government and the state branch of the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC) have reached an agreement on payment of the new minimum wage with its consequential adjustments.

According to the final agreement read by the Chairman of the negotiating Comittee and Secretary to the State Government, Mustapha Inuwa, the commencement date for the payment of the new minimum wage in the state is January 2020.
