President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Magajin Garin Sokoto Alh. Hassan Ahmad Danbaba as the new chairman of Sokoto-Rima River Basin Development Authority.

The appointment was conveyed to the appointee by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Mustapha, in a letter of August 7, 2020.

“I am pleased to inform you that Muhammadu Buhari, President, Federal Republic of Nigeria has approved your appointment as Part-Time Chairman of the Governing Board of Sokoto-Rima River Basin Development Authority, Sokoto with effect from 6th August, 2020.

“This appointment is at the discretion of Mr. President and the allowances attached to your appointment are as provided under the Category ‘B’ of Federal Government Agencies and Statutory Corporations as specified in Circular Ref.
