President Muhammadu Buhari and All Progresives Congress (APC) stalwart Asiwaju Bola Tinubu have congratulated the party’s National Legal Adviser Babatunde Ogala.
Ogala turns 60 today.
Buhari and Tinubu felicitated the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in separate messages issued yesterday by their spokesmen Mr. Femi Adesina and Mr. Tunde Rahman respectively.
In his message, the president joined family and friends to celebrate with the party stalwart, “whose knowledge and experience have been most invaluable to the country’’.
He also felicitated the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), International Bar Association (IBA) and professional colleagues of the legal luminary as they rolled out drums to savour the milestone with the former lawmaker, administrator and counsel to many organisations and governments.
The President affirmed that Ogala’s admirable profile in his career could only be attributed to his “fear of God, love for humanity and passion for showing kindness and thoughtfulness in all endeavours’’.
He said this was further evidenced in Ogala’s efforts in making sacrifices and working selflessly for the good of others and the country.
The President that the contributions of the former APC legal adviser to the growth of democracy and good governance, most profoundly in interpreting the constitution and manifesto of the party and guiding leaders to keep their promises.

Asiwaju Tinubu also lauded Ogala’s contributions to democracy, good governance, social justice and rule of law.
Extolling Ogala’s virtues, the APC leader said the senior advocate Ogala has done excellently well in the various spheres of life he has traversed thus far.
He said: “Warmest congratulations to former National Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress and prominent lawyer, Hon. Babatunde Kwame Ogala, on turning 60.
“A pro-democracy activist, democrat and prominent politician, Ogala has made tremendous contributions to good governance, social justice and rule of law.
“As a friend, comrade and partner in the progressive struggle, I can say without hesitation that Ogala has done well in the various spheres of life he has traversed these past years.
“As a media man, he distinguished himself. As a member of Lagos House of Assembly, he performed with distinction. While he held sway as APC legal adviser, his professional knowledge and experience shone brilliantly as he helped the party in resolving many legal issues.
“His elevation to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria was therefore no surprise to anyone who has followed his legal career
“Ogala has contributed greatly to law-making and jurisprudence just as he has played an invaluable role in the development of Lagos.
“It is on record that today he is one of the respected leaders of our party in Lagos.
“My prayers on this occasion of his 60th is that God Almighty grant him the grace of long life, robust health, renewed vitality and immense wisdom so that he can continue to positively impact the legal profession, Lagos and Nigeria.”
