    Actor Damola Olatunji celebrates ex-wife, colleagues who survived car accidents, eulogises God

    Popular Nollywood actor, Damola Olatunji, has taken to social media to thank God for sparing the lives of his ex-wife, Bukola Arugba, and other industry colleagues, Mercy Aigbe and Azeez Ijaduade.

    The Nation reported that Bukola Arugba was involved in an accident on the Third Mainland Bridge, which left her car severely damaged.

    Narrating the incident, she pondered on how her car could crash twice within the space of an hour while adding that no one could imagine the state she was left in.

    Two days later, Mercy Aigbe had escaped death, after her car tyre burst on the highway while returning to Lagos from Benin.

    She described the incident as a scary, horrific, and terrible experience, which left her panicked.

    The Nation also reported that director, Azeez Ijaduade was reportedly shot by Nigerian police and has been admitted to Babcock University Teaching Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment and in critical condition.

    Following this news, Damola Olatunji took to his Instagram page to rejoice with his colleagues for escaping death.

    He further declared that no member of his household or loved ones shall cry or mourn this festive season.

    Noting how the devil is a liar, he quoted some powerful scriptures as he gave thanks for the lives of his colleagues.

    He wrote: “Thank God for Iya Ibeji, Thank God for Mercy Aigbe, thank God for Azeez Ololade Ijaduade. I said it last week and I am saying it again, the devil is a liar.

    “As for me, my household, and my loved ones, we shall not cry nor mourn for the remaining days of this year. Peace, Love, Happiness, and Joy shall never depart from us. He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

    “Psalm 140 1: Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from men of violence who plan to trip my feet. O LORD, I say to you, “You are my God.” Hear, O LORD, my cry for mercy. Let the heads of those who surround me be covered with the trouble their lips have caused. Amen amen, and amen”.

    Abia police rescue four children abducted by new tenant

    The Abia state police command headquarters on Monday, December 25, announced the rescue of the four children kidnapped in Umuahia by a tenant who packed into a new compound.

    The police disclosed that two of the children were rescued on December 22, while another two were rescued on December 24.

    The Nation had reported that a female tenant who packed into a compound, whose name could not be identified whisked away two sisters and a cousin, including the child of another tenant to an unknown destination

    The state police public relations officer, Maureen Chinaka disclosed that eight suspects including one Ifeoma Abonyi have been arrested in the cause of investigation.

    The police spokesman said that Abonyi, a 35-year-old female was arrested in Asaba, Delta state.

    Chinaka who disclosed that a DNA test would be conducted on the children to affirm that they were the biological children of their parents, further revealed that six other children were recovered from the suspects in the cause of the investigation and arrest of the suspects.

    She disclosed that the feat was a collaborative effort of both the police and personnel of the Department of State Security (DSS); a product of the robust synergy between it and other security agencies in the state.

    Chinaka in a statement issued on Monday said: “On 16 December 2023, one Mrs. Ifeanyi Udoma Ibe (Female) of Ubakala Street, Ossai Road, Umahia, reported the abduction of her children and her neighbours’ by an unidentified tenant.

    “In response to the complaint, the Abia State Police Command commenced investigation into the incident. Leveraging robust technical intelligence support from the DSS in Abia state, on 22 December 2023, police detectives from Abia State Police Command, successfully apprehended one Ifeoma Abonyi, a 35-year-old female in Asaba, Delta State.

    “Ifeoma Abonyi has been identified as the hitherto unknown tenant responsible for the abduction of the four children on 16/12/23.

    “We are happy to inform the public that all the four missing children stolen on 16 December 2023 have now been rescued. Two of the children were rescued on 22 December 2023, while another two were rescued today 24 December 2023.

    “A total of eight suspects (five females and three males) are currently helping the Police with the investigation into the crime. Three other persons suspected to be complicit in the crime are still at large. We are intensifying efforts to ensure their arrest soonest.

    “Meanwhile, the investigation is ongoing to determine the real status of six other children that were found in the custody of the arrested suspects. This might entail the conduct of DNA tests, as some of the suspects are claiming that the children are their biological offspring. We shall keep the public informed of the outcome of the investigation as soon as possible.”

    While wishing Ganduje strength and good health, Tinubu implored the APC national chairman not to relent in his service to Nigeria.

    Victor Ike, brother of veteran Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike has claimed as untrue, allegations made by the actor’s ex-wife, Suzanne Emma, and his son, Michael, in a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo.

    The Nation reported that Emma, in the interview, stated that Ike physically assaulted her throughout their 17-year marriage.

    She recounted a specific incident at the hospital when their child was seriously ill, stressing that while she was trying to negotiate with the hospital to treat their son, Emeka Ike scolded and physically assaulted her.

    Michael Ike, who also spoke to Chude, said his father’s attitude was so extreme that he began to hate him.

    He recounted harsh things allegedly said to him by his father amid their complicated relationship.

    However, in a series of tweets via his X handle (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, December 25, Victor said the allegations were all lies, urging the actor’s son, Michael, to apologise to his father for the abusive words and insults.

    He alleged that his brother’s ex-wife had slapped her husband on several occasions and even carried out bank transactions from the actor’s account she was a signatory to without his consent.

    Victor further alleged that Suzanne had told lies about his mother and had beaten her up many times, but after multiple complaints, Emeka refused to deal with the issue, adding that the actor loves his wife more than he loves himself.

    He wrote: “I heard the lies made against my brother, Emeka Ike, by his Ex-wife on @Chude show & @lindaikeji blog. So;-She slapped him on a number of occasion but now claims he is a wife beater? -She was a signatory to his bank account, and when he was alerted that huge amounts were being withdrawn constantly, he asks to be informed before withdrawals, then she turns it into an issue of been financially deprived?

    “He sponsored her from the level of JAMB exams to University & then Masters. He opened CIS movie studio and a secondary school, both of which she was put in charge of and subsequently ruined, and now she claims he never allowed her work?

    “She told lies against my mum,whom she beat up a couple of times. We had issues with my brother regarding this, but he was blinded by love. A woman he loved more than himself now wants to blackmail him, label him a wife beater & manipulate his kids against him? Why only use parts of his Voice Note and not the complete VN, If not for the intent to blackmail him with false allegations?

    “Men’s voices don’t matter anymore cos when they try to express themselves, people don’t believe them. Michael, go and apologize to your Dad for the abusive words and insults. Don’t be used to blackmail your father. @Chude,@lindaikeji and other bloggers, please stay off these kids, this is not right for their mental health.

    Nollywood actress, Uche Ebere has condemned the action of Emeka Ike’s ex-wife, Suzanne by bringing their first son, Michael Ike to an interview session to speak ill of his father.

    Recall that Suzanne, accompanied by her son, participated in an interview with Chude Jideonwo to share her side of the story.

    During the discussion, Suzanne revealed distressing details about the abusive nature of her marriage to Emeka Ike.

    Reacting, Uche Ebere condemned Suzanne for involving her son in an ongoing dispute with her ex-husband.

    She strongly stated her disapproval of Emeka Ike’s ex-wife airing their private issues in public, expressing concerns about the potential harm it could cause to their children.

    Popular skit maker, Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, better known as KieKie has explained how she began her fashion show before moving into skit-making.

    The mother of one stated that she used to combine comedy with fashion criticism, which caught the interest of industry professionals and led to an invitation to begin creating skits.

    Kiekie made this known while speaking as a panelist at one of the Entertainment Week Lagos sessions.

    Despite beginning small, Kiekie said she now has a YouTube page and creates her own material.

    She said: “I infused the comic side into my content, and that was what gave birth to my fashion shock show. It was a bit of critiquing fashion, but infusing comedy into it. That was one of the things that made the show grow at the time.

    “It was a case of wanting to show more and having the right people around me to encourage me to do that.     “People started seeing the comic side in my fashion content, and they began pulling me into skits, saying, ‘This girl is hilarious; come and feature in skits’. One skit turned into five, then 10, till we got to this point. Before I knew what was happening, I had started producing my own content, and opened a YouTube channel.”
