    The management team of Big Brother Naija housemate Nelly Mbonu has refuted claims she is a stripper and pole dancer.

    The statement, posted on Nelly’s Instagram page, categorically denied the rumors, calling them “entirely false.”

    According to her management, Nelly is a respected chef and a talented video vixen who has appeared in several music videos.

    They emphasised that she has never claimed to be a stripper or pole dancer, nor has she engaged in pole dancing.

    The statement reads: “It has come to our attention that there is misinformation circulating on various blogs, inaccurately stating that Nelly is a stripper and a pole dancer. We would like to unequivocally clarify that these claims are entirely false. Nelly is a respected chef and a talented video vixen who has appeared in several music videos. At no point has she ever stated that she is a stripper or a pole dancer, nor has she engaged in pole dancing.”

    The clarification comes after Nelly was introduced into the Big Brother Naija house as part of the duo “Nelita” alongside ex-beauty queen Anita.

    Big Brother Naija housemates are at the risk of eviction this week except for the NDI NNE duo and the BETA pair. 

    Big Brother has announced that on Sunday, the pair with the fewest votes will be evicted from the house.

    The NDI NNE duo, consisting of Chinne and Nne, won the Custodian Challenge on Sunday, granting them immunity from eviction and the power to influence nominations.

    The BETA pair, comprising Tjay and Ben, won the Immunity Challenge, securing their safety for the week.

    The remaining housemates are now in a precarious position, relying on viewer votes to save them from eviction.

    The pair with the lowest votes will be sent home on Sunday, marking the first eviction of the season.

    Popular comedian Woli Arole has fired back at critics of the reality show Big Brother Naija, telling them to sponsor their “godly” shows instead of complaining.

    In a statement on Instagram, Arole noted that those who desire more wholesome content should put their money where their mouth is and fund their own reality TV shows.

    He pointed out that there are wealthy Christians who can afford to sponsor shows that align with their values.

    Arole’s comments come after some individuals called for BBNaija to be banned due to its perceived immorality.

    However, the comedian argued that critics have no right to dictate how the show should be run if they’re not willing to invest in alternative content.

    He wrote: “Nobody should complain about BBNaija ooo. Do your own Goldy reality TV shows, too!! If you don’t sponsor them, you can’t tell them how they should behave. Do yours!! There are billionaires that are Christians drop money for godly TV shows. Shikena”.

    BBNaija Season 9: Mbadiwe Twins named first heads of house

    The Mbadiwe Twins, Ocee and Ozee, have been crowned the first Heads of House (HoH) in the Big Brother Naija Season 9 reality TV show.

    The announcement was made on Monday afternoon, following the housemates’ first Head of House games.

    The twins’ victory has set the tone for an exciting season, filled with twists and turns.

    As Heads of the House, the twins will enjoy exclusive privileges, including access to the heads of the house room and being in charge of orderliness in the house, they can also suggest minor infringements to Big Brother.

    In another twist, there will be no immunity attached and also no save and replace for the heads of house, unlike previous seasons.

    This season’s Big Brother Naija features a unique twist, where contestants audition in pairs, including close friends, family members, romantic partners, or any combination that embodies a “dynamic duo”.

    The show, which premiered on July 28, 2024, will last for 71 days, and it is expected that fans can expect an action-packed ride filled with drama, suspense, and excitement.

    Big Brother (Biggie) has addressed the 28 housemates of Season 9, reiterating the show’s core values of equality and fairness.

    During his maiden address on Sunday night, Biggie reminded the contestants that they are all starting on a level playing field, regardless of their social background or status.

    First introduced pair of Big Brother season nine, Chinwe and Zion, have revealed that they are in a romantic relationship, with Chinwe initiating the conversation.

    The duo, who call themselves ‘Zinwe’, disclosed that they have been together for five months.

    Chinwe, the bold and confident one, revealed that she made the first move, approaching Zion and exchanging contacts after dancing briefly.

    While introducing themselves, Chinwe said: “I moved to him [Zion] and I sat down and exchanged contacts. The rest is history”.

    Floruish, the inseparable best friends on 10 years; and NdiNne, the aunt-niece duo bringing realness and authenticity.

    Aces, the unpredictable colleagues, are ready to shake things up,

    while Shatoria, the Dubai-connected friends, bring an international flair.

    No fewer than 28 housemates entered the Big Brother Naija house yesterday for the ninth season of the reality show.

    The season, with theme, “No Loose Guard”, promises exciting twists designed to keep viewers on the edge of their seats for the next 10 weeks.

    The grand prize for this season is a N100 million, which includes a cash prize and an SUV, with additional sponsored prizes to be announced.

    The show has introduced a luxurious new house featuring the largest closet in its history, setting the stage for a season filled with glamour, intrigue, and fierce competition. The opening performance by Niniola included her songs “All Eyes on Me” and “Formula,” setting an energetic tone for the season. The season also features housemates competing in duos, adding a new dynamic to the competition.

    Adding to the excitement is the “Custodian challenge,” a weekly challenge every Sunday, where a winner emerges with rewards and possible game-changing advantages.

    The first housemate duo to be introduced into the Big Brother Naija house was the Zinwe pair with individual names, Chinwe and Zion.

    The pair said they were coming into the house as a couple, having been in a relationship for five months.

    Chinwe described herself as a loyal person who would be forging alliances with fellow housemates to make her go far in the game.

    The second pair, Fairy David and Mickey, who go by the name “Radicals”, said they both take pride in the fact that they are virgins.

    The third pair, Florish, who have been friends for over ten years said they were in the show “to scatter relationships”.

    DJ Flo and Rhuthee, who make the pair, Florish, described themselves as smart and adventurous individuals.

    The fourth pair, NdiNne, an aunty with her niece, said they were coming to show viewers that “blood is thicker than water”.

    According to the pair, with individual names, Nne and Chinne, they are bringing in 100 per cent authenticity.

    The fifth pair, Aces, with individual names, Topher and Sooj, described themselves as intellectuals and unpredictable individuals.

    The sixth pair, Shatoria, plans to embrace the experience the show has to offer, make friends and have some fun.

    The Shatoria pair have their individual names as Shaun and Victoria.

    The seventh pair, WanniXHandi, 27-year-old identical twins from Kaduna State, who are disc-jockeys, expressed confidence in making it to the final day of the show.

    The twin with individual names, Handi and Wanni, promised to bring in double trouble into the show as they catch some fun.

    According to the twin sisters, they are single but also ready to mingle.

    Ben and Tjay with the pair name, Beta, came in as the eighth pair.

    Another set of twin brothers, the Mbadiwes, who are lawyers, and socialites, made their way to the house as the ninth pair with individual names, Ozee and Ocee.

    Ozee said: “This platform is to help us take whatever we are doing to the next level. We will thrive on the competitions in the house and hope viewers keep us to the end.”

    The 10th pair is TAMI, with individual names, Damilola and Toyosi.

    The 11th housemate pair, Nelita, who have been friends for nine years, promised to be very original in the course of the show, while Toby Forge and Mayor Frosh walked into the show as the 12th duo, with the pair name, Streeze.

    The 13th pair is a couple who just got married in February, with the pair name, Double Kay, and individual names, Kassia and Kelly Ray.

    The Double Kay pair said they would not disclose their marital status to other housemates throughout the show.

    The 14th pair, who are sisters, go by the pair name, “Chekas”, with individual names, Onyeka and Chizoba.
