Twelve housemates of the BBTitans have been put up for possible eviction at the end of the seventh week.

Despite winning the Heads of House for the second time, there wasn’t much time for the Royals – Ebubu and Tsatsii – to celebrate as the pairs immediately dashed off to discuss nominations, with the Royals agonising over whom to save this time round.

After the housemates have made their nominations, Big Brother announced that the following pairs were nominated for eviction: Juvone, Juiovla, Khosicle, Yelisa, and Kaniva.

Since Tsatsii discussed nominations before they took place, with housemates other than her partner, the Royals’ save and replace was revoked and they were included in the nominated list. This means the nominees this week are:
    Royals

    Juiovla

    Juvone

    Khosicle

    Yelisa

Here’s how the nominations played out.

BBTitans: Royals emerge first pair to win HoH twice

Ebubu and Tsatsii, the two BBTitans housemates that make up the Royals pair have set another record on the ongoing show.

A record was set during the seventh Head of House challenge when the Royals became the first pair to win the HoH title twice on Big Brother Titans.

To win this coveted title, the housemates played some games including the ‘Big Top Drop’. Playing in pairs, they had to drop a coloured ball into the right coloured tube. Every successful drop earns them the points printed on the tube.

A red ball in a red tube fetched the highest – 50 points. A green ball in a green tube got 30 points. A yellow ball in a yellow tube meant 1 point while a blue ball in a blue tube fetched 20 points.

At the end of the interesting HoH games, the Royals emerged victorious while Juicy Jay and Olivia (Juiovla) lost. They are this week’s Tails of House.

BBTitans: Biggie dummies with fake nominations

Biggie has ignited another twist into the ongoing BBTitans with a fake nomination process for possible eviction in week six.

On Day 37, the housemates filed into the diary room to nominate which pair they wanted up for eviction. What they did not know was Biggie’s shocking twist that will leave them all safe on Sunday.

One of the live show presenters, Ebuka had made it clear at the end of the fake nomination process to all that there will be no voting this week because the nominations are fake. This means all housemates are safe this week and there will be no eviction on Sunday.

Here’s how the housemates voted and why

    Khosicle: Royals and Juvone
Miracle OP, who represented Khosicle, explained to Biggie that they nominated The Royals because they are rarely nominated and Juvone because of the competition.
    Royals: Juiovle and Juvone
Tsatsii explained to Biggie that she and her partner are aware they have not been up for nominations and they need other pairs who are just like them so that they have a chance for survival.
    Juiovla: Thabana and Royals
Juicy Jay, the representative of the pair, explained to Biggie that they nominated Thabana because they had such a good run the previous week and therefore saw them as competition. As for the Royals, they were put up because they had not experienced being nominated.
    Blaqleng: Royals and Khosicle
Blaqboi echoed the thoughts of others before him as he explained to Biggie that Blaqleng nominated The Royals because they had never experienced the jitters of eviction. They nominated Khosicle, however, because they see them as a competition.
    Thabana: Khosicle and Kanaiva
According to Nana, Thabana’s reason for nominating Kaniva was because they are not close; while they nominated Khosicle because they do not feel comfortable having them in the house.

    Juvone: Royals and Kanaiva
Yvonne explained to Biggie that Juvone nominated The Royals because they had not experienced a week of being nominated. As for Kaniva, they were nominated because there is little connection between the members of both pairs.
    Kanaiva: Juvone and Khosicle
After giving the names of the pairs they want nominated for eviction, Blue Aiva explained that Kaniva nominated Juvone because they were not up for eviction the previous week while they nominated Khosicle because they are a strong pair.
    Yelisa: Royals and Thabana
Head of House Yemi Cregx also explained to Biggie that The Royals have not been up for nominations, hence Yelisa nominated them. Their second choice was Thabana and they were nominated because Yelisa sees them as competition.
At the end of it all, Royals, Thabana, Khosicle, Kaniva, and Juvone were called upon by Biggie as the pairs with the most nominations for eviction. Then the moment came for Yelisa to do their save and replace. Yelisa chose to save Kaniva and replaced them with Blaqleng.

BBTitans: Yemi Cregx, Nelisa emerge Heads of House for week six

Yemi Cregx and Nelisa have emerged the Heads of House for the sixth week in the BBTitans Zikhayala Wahala edition.

They emerged after seven of the 16 housemates left on the show gathered at the arena for the ‘Head of House’ game for the sixth Head of House game.

Unfortunately, Juvone, KhosicleT and Thabana were barred from taking part in the Challenge. This comes after Biggie charged one or more persons from the pairs with breaking the rules of the Great Divide.

After a fiercely competitive showdown, which also left three pairs out in the cold Yemi Cregx and Nelisa clinched the head of house title.

Yemi Cregx and Nelisa won the game and had immunity from possible eviction in the sixth week.

With this development, Yemi Cregx and Nelisa make history as the sixth HoH in the history of BBTitans and heads the House into the sixth week’s task and activities.

As usual, the Head of House (HoH) title comes with some extra privileges. Yemi Cregx and Nelisa get to sit on the throne-like HoH chair, get information directly from Big Brother and read out the day’s task to the other housemates.

  • Marvin, Yaya evicted from BBTitans show

Marvin, Yaya evicted from BBTitans show

Marvin and Yaya have been evicted from the ongoing BBTitans show.

The total number of housemates evicted from the ongoing show has risen to eight.

Marvin is a Nigerian male housemate while Yaya is a female housemate forming a pair. The pair won the Flutterwave task together but failed to emerge Heads of House as a pair and individually.

The pair was evicted on the fifth Sunday after spending a total of 36 days – five weeks in the house.

With the eviction of Marvin and Yaya from the show, the dwindling number of the housemates has reduced from 18 to 16 after Sandra and SanTheo were evicted in the second week.

BBTitans: Titbits for first edition after 35 days

THIRTY-FIVE days after the first edition of Big Brother Titans debuted on Sunday, January 15, the show has continued to create conversations with several viewers and fans injecting their opinions and votes as the show continues.

The show has produced several laughs, triangles, fights, drama, and plenty of twists as well as lessons for the housemates from South Africa and Nigeria and viewers alike.

After the fifth Saturday night party today, the show will continue for another 37 days.

    The Housemates and partnerships

Biggie opened up his house to 20 housemates for the first edition of the BBTitans. The 20 housemates were chosen from different backgrounds and sectors of the economy across several states in Nigeria and different provinces in South Africa. 10 of the housemates were males while the last 10 were females. While 5 of the males were Nigerians, the other five were South Africans. In the same vein five females represented South Africans while five males represented Nigeria. In the first week, four more housemates – two Nigerians (male and female) and two South Africans (male and female) were added totaling the number of housemates to 24. The first twist Biggie pulled on the housemates was to pair the housemates. The pairing produced a male and female of different countries together. Biggie also announced that the housemates will be penalised as a pair, win as a pair and evicted as a pair unless he chooses otherwise. After 35 days, six housemates namely Sandra, TheoTraw, Jaypee, Lukay, Mmeli and Jenni O have been evicted from the show.

    The power of HoH

The HOH role has been played differently over several seasons of BBNaija and Mzansi. Fans saw another dimension when Kanaga and Blue Aiva took on the HOH role in the third week. While Blue Aiva was calm, Kanaga was on a power trip. Several housemates confided in Biggie during their diary sessions that they didn’t like his leadership style. At the end of his week as HOH, the housemates put up the ‘Kanaiva’ pair for possible eviction and the pair have continued to be up for possible eviction even in the fifth week.

    Differences and strategies

Acceptance is the loudest lesson the season teaches us. Nigerians and South Africans are very different. They have distinct styles of music, dancing, dressing, food, ways of life, and many more. Yet, after the countries have been paired, they create something beautiful. As different as the Nigerians are from the South Africans on BBTitans, accepting and embracing their differences have made this one of the most exciting seasons. As always, housemates love to come on the show and claim they have no strategy. However, BBTitans is a game. Those that would go farthest, in and out of the house, are those with defined plans. Kanaga’s entrance into the show was the loudest, and everyone instantly had his name on their lips. Still, he’s different from his entrance now that he’s in the house. He is calm, put together, and talented. Fans can’t decide if his relationship with Tsatsi is a game or the truth. For this, he’s been on the top 5 most talked about housemates list at least ten times since the show began. Even though the housemates are now in pairs, certain people have a leg up on others. During nominations, it would be difficult for Yemi to put up either Khosi or Blue Aiva unless that’s the only option he has. It is the same with Yvonne and Juicy J or Tsatsi and Kanaga. Away from the romantic mixes, there are also friendship partnerships, like the one that made Blaqleng save the Royals from possible eviction and then had the Royals return the favour.

    Talents galore

Nigerian housemate Ebubu had tongues wagging when he walked on stage on the BBTitans launch day, as he is the first albino on reality show. It was easy to love him as many considered him the ‘underdog’. He has managed to win more hearts of housemates and fans because of his talent. He is always ready to dive into tasks and is never afraid to show off that he is someone with eyes for the arts. His focus on showing off his talents earned him a protector in Jaypee and a jail-free card from eviction. It’s easy to look at some housemates and assume they don’t have what it takes to go far in the game. Yet, they are still in the game 35 days after. Blue Aiva and Miracle, who came in late in the game, have been the subjects of the most conversation in the house. Ipeleng, who is one of the most conservative housemates, has managed to shock fans over and over again.

    A game is a game

Some housemates are emotional and don’t take decisive decisions with a clear head. Housemates in the house like Ebubu, Kanaga Jr, Yemi, and Yvonne approach every opportunity to make a strategic move with clear eyes. Then there are those like Marvin who get in their feelings when people play the game and refuse to let things go. Marvin has been burnt twice yet he remains emotional and easily gets distracted.

  • BBTitans: Thabang, Khosi speak of possible Yelisa ship

BBTitans: Thabang, Khosi speak of possible Yelisa ship

Two South African nationals in the ongoing BBTitans, Thabang and Khosi recently had a spicy conversation in the garden about Yemi Cregx and Nelisa.

The conversation started with Thabang relating a conversation he had had with Nelisa during which they spoke about housemates who might have a thing for them.

The discussion began with Thabang speaking about Nelisa and how she had approached him for answers about his feelings for her. Khosi – eager for the gist – kept asking him questions as he spoke, and he graciously provided the answers.

The conversation then moved to Yemi Cregx and his ways. Khosi explained that, after Ebuka’s explosive table-shaking moment, Yemi Cregx came to clear things up with her, but she realised he was more concerned about himself and not their relationship. And she made it clear that this move did not sit well with her.

The conversation then moved to Nelisa and her relationship with Yemi Cregx. Khosi and Thabang were suspicious of the pair. Khosi went on to suggest that it might be the reason why Nelisa had an issue with Blue Aiva.

BBTitans: Tsatsii questions Thabang’s intentions toward Nelisa

BBTitans housemate Tsatsii has, in a bid to look out for Nelisa, engaged Thabang over his intentions towards fellow housemate and South African, Nelisa.

Nelisa has had a crush on Thabang for a while. However, she shared a brief moment with Mmeli a while back, which triggered a strain in their relationship.

While speaking with Thabang, Tsatsii said that Nelisa felt rejected.

Tsatsii said the feelings of rejection possibly stemmed from daddy issues. While this should have been a conversation between Thabang and Nelisa, Tsatsii felt the need to tell him and urged him to compliment her whenever he is with her, as it would boost her confidence.

Emphasising the need to make Nelisa feel appreciated, Tsatsii gave an example of Nelisa’s insecurity by recalling an occasion when she felt hesitant to take off her makeup in front of the housemates because she feared their judgement. Tsatsii had to take it upon herself to let Nelisa know how beautiful she is.

Thabang responded by saying he had tried to show appreciation to Nelisa by giving her a rose. He, however, does not want to
be in a triangle while he was on good terms with Mmeli.

Thabang said: ”You can’t have two things at once, so Nelisa has to decide what she wants.”

BBTitans: Juicy Jay helps Yemi Cregx sort out entanglement

Juicy Jay and Yemi Cregx recently had a conversation about the women in their lives and exchanged a few notes on how to deal with them.

Juicy Jay gave Yemi Cregx advice on how to handle his triangle during their conversation after their morning workout, telling him to be honest with Khosi and Blue Aiva.

He also told him to hold onto his relationship with Khosi because it was the most sincere. In order to end things with Blue Aiva on a positive note, Juicy Jay suggested that he engage her in a conversation.

Heeding that advice, Yemi Cregx made it clear he does not want to be enemies with Blue Aiva and wants her to understand that she can explore relationships with other guys in the house. They both agreed that Yemi Cregx may have been unknowingly leading Blue Aiva on.

Juicy Jay went on to recount his ordeal in what appeared to be a potential triangle with Ipeleng, Jenni O, and Yvonne. He told Yemi Cregx that he had only ever been attracted to two women in the house, Ipeleng and Yvonne. He liked Jenni O’s energy but was not interested in a relationship with her, but admitted that he might have led her on – again, unknowingly – because it’s fun flirting with a person whose energy you like.
