Pere and Maria, the two wildcards in the BBNaija Shine Ya Eye house, have survived the first live eviction show and have officially begun competing for the grand prize with other housemates.

Ebuka took on the first BBNaija Shine Ya Eye live eviction show Sunday night but there were no goodbyes – just surprises!

After the ladies and gentlemen of the house settled in on Sunday, August 1, Biggie threw in the second twist of the season.

The mischievous Biggie told the housemates that two from among them were wildcards and they had a week to figure them out.

If they successfully did this, the two wildcard housemates would be evicted immediately.

Failure to do so meant they get to remain in the competition and battle it out for the grand prize.

The housemates investigated, questioned and tried hard to figure out who they were all week long.

The viewers were not left out in the guessing game until Thursday, July 29, when Biggie revealed that Maria and Pere were the wildcards.

During their Diary Room sessions on Sunday afternoon, majority of the housemates put forward Liquorose and Jaypaul as their prime suspects, to the amusement of viewers.

However, the cat was let out of the bag when Ebuka asked the wildcards – Maria and Pere – to reveal themselves.

This left the housemates surprised but impressed at how well they concealed their identities.

The game has now shifted gears as both Maria and Pere are officially in the game to win.

Ebuka revealed that both of them will have exclusive nomination powers on Monday night when the housemates exercise their nomination rights for the first time this season.

BBNaija Shine Ya Eye housemate Niyi has accused Nini of attempting to dominate the House and playing the victim card.

Niyi said this while discussing with Beatrice and Yerins on Sunday.

Niyi insinuated that Nini acts cunning by trying to form a clique in the House but with the wrong set of people.

“She feels like there is a space that she needs to dominate and she’s trying to dominate it in a very rude way but the people she’s trying to dominate it with when they come for her she will now play victim.

“When you have low self esteem but you want to use arrogance to cover it up. I noticed it a long time ago,” he said.

BBNaija Shine Ya Eye housemates have failed to identify the wild cards among them.

They were required to fish out two wildcards who would be evicted on Sunday failure which the wild cards would have to compete with the housemates for the star prize.

However, they couldn’t figure out the wildcards as most of them picked Jaypaul and Liquorose.

The choice of the housemates gives Maria and Pere the privilege to stay in the house and compete for the N90 million prize.

BBNaija Shine Ya Eye housemate, Liquorose has said she won’t start any relationship in the house.

She said this during a conversation with fellow housemates Yousef and Nini.

The mult-talented housemate said she prefers to be a spectator in the house than having any romantic relationship with other housemates.

“I don’t want to be in any relationship, I just want to be a spectator watching everything, everyone from afar,” she said.

“I don’t want to be involved in any of those relationship things,” she said.

Liquorose has been helping the housemates in their choreography and has also been one of the vocal housemates.

One of the wildcards in the BBNaija Shine Ya Eye house, Pere, has continued to keep his true identity away from others.

The U.S.-trained Nurse has a firm bite on the prize money and not letting anything get on

his way.

Interestingly, a number of the housemates trust him so much that they keep opening up about their suspicions and he is even helping them search for the wildcards.

At different times, Pere maintains his cool and looks at other housemates straight in the eye, and nods away in agreement.

On Thursday night, during his Diary Session, Pere guessed that Maria or Nini could be the second wildcard because their Dairy Sessions preceded and followed his respectively.

Pere was able to make a simple guess because of the tricky hint that Biggie gave the Housemates who had been begging for a clue.

Pere comforted Maria who was a ball of nerves while the housemates were on the hunt for the wildcard.

‘Don’t worry, the lion will protect the cub,’ were his words to her, insinuating that he had it under control.

Current Head of House Peace has mistakenly identified Liquorose and JayPaul as the wildcards.

Peace, who has been quite open about her suspicions and eagerness to find out who the wildcards are, has been seen to have conversations with different people to prove who the wildcards are and why she suspects them.

Towards the end of the week, Peace was spotted having a conversation with Boma,

Arin and Pere about her new suspicions.

In another conversation about her latest suspects with Tega, Peace was sure Liquorose and JayPaul were the wildcards.

One of the reasons she gave was that Biggie did not ask them about who the wildcards are in their Diary Sessions.

“They are the wildcards,” she said as she also picked up on a statement made by JayPaul about letting the wildcards stay in the house as her proof.

Interestingly, Peace’s suspicion held sway as Arin and Tega also hold on firmly to the belief that JayPaul and Liquorose are the wildcards.

However, Boma and Cross do not seem to be convinced because they are not sure JayPaul would decide to come into the house as a wildcard following how he lost a chance to be in the house last Season.

BBNaija Shine Ya Eye housemates, Angel and Boma seemed to be Beatrice’s guarding angels as they talked her out of her gloomy state on Friday night, July 30.

After the 22 housemates won their first wager and Abeg task, Biggie declared a feast for the housemates as well as a jacuzzi treat.

However, while other housemates were basking in their victory and feast, Beatrice didn’t really look like she was in the mood to party.

For the most part of the feast, she appeared quite sober and didn’t budge when Princess asked her to join in the fun.

However, Angel noticed her sombre state and approached her. Angel then engaged Beatrice in a conversation and warned her that if she maintained that stance she might get voted out by the viewing public if she got nominated. The realisation seems to hit her as she loosened up.

After her conversation with Angel, Beatrice was joined by Boma for a chat following her gloomy look. Boma also spoke to her to loosen up and enjoy the fun. Moments after her conversation with Boma, Beatrice changed into a bikini and joined other partying housemates.

Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eyes housemate, Angel has adviced Beatrice to step up her game in the house else, she would be evicted next week.

She told the divorced mother one to find a way of relating more with other housemates so she won’t be up for eviction next week.

Beatrice who broke down in tears had complained to Angel that she’s confused on how to socialize in the house making her feel uncomfortable.

“I don’t know what’s happening in the house. I want to socialize with everyone but don’t know how to,” said Beatrice while crying on Friday night.

Advising her, Angel said: “if you no vibe, them go nominate you and you dey go house next week.”

Just when Emmanuel was said to be thinking of voluntarily exiting the BBNaija Shine Ya Eye house, he has been presented with the bonus envelope with the highest value of Abeg Naira.

After Biggie’s instruction to all housemates to arrive at which housemate is most deserving of the 23rd bonus envelope with the highest value of Abeg Naira, the housemates were soon engaged in a heated argument on how to award the bonus.

While some insisted on a game of skill to give who was most deserving, others suggested a game of chance because that will ensure fairness. In the end, they settled for a vote and a game of chance was the outcome.

After the game of chance, Emmanuel, who already has his envelope with an undisclosed value of Abeg Naira, became lucky when he emerged as the housemate to be bestowed with the 23rd bonus envelope. With this money, Emmanuel now has spending power.

Earlier on day five, Niyi said Emmanuel is considering a voluntary exit from the house because he is bored.

Interestingly, other housemates think Emmanuel is a bit quiet and with all that’s currently happening in the Shine Ya Eye house, Emmanuel doesn’t seem to find it entertaining.

BBNaija Shine Ya Eye housemate, Sammie has revealed he had his first sex with a prostitute at 17.

Sammie, a 26-year-old, a student of Ahmadu Bello University, made this known during a conversation with Angel while discussing about his sexual experiences.

“I was disvirgined by an ashewo (Prostitute) at the age of 17,” he said. “That’s my first sexual experience.”

Sammie and Angel’s conversation lasted for a while and seems to be heading to a romantic relationship as time goes on.
