  • BBNaija: Khloe and Leo make fun of Alex

Recently evicted Big Brother Naija Double Wahala housemate Leo and disqualified housemate Khloe have been spotted making fun of Alex  in a recent video making rounds online.

It was a bad moment for Alex on Sunday as she had an emotional outburst when  her Ex-strategic partner Leo was evicted.

In the clip, Khole could be seen  mimicking Alex the way she was crying when Leo and his strategic partner Ifu Ennada left the house while Leo laughs on at the background.

Though the duo were quick to denying this, fans find it hard to believe.

Most people think it is inappropriate for them to make fun of Alex in that manner.

  • #BBNaija: What does Big Brother Naija add to us?

The Reality TV Show, Big Brother Naija started on 28th January, 2018, with twenty housemates going into the house in South Africa, to compete for the prize. The winner is to get prizes worth 45 million naira (25 million naira cash, a brand new SUV Jeep, and other prizes).

Twenty housemates are in the house competing this season. The show is to end in April.

Viewers vote for their favourite housemates to keep them in the house, as the one with the least vote gets evicted from the show.

There have however been a lot of criticisms to the show. Critics believe that the show encourages sexual immorality. An example is what has been trending online between two housemates, Teddy A and Bambam, having sex in the toilet.  Another example is Miracle, who has engaged in similar acts with female housemate, Nina.

Housemates have constantly engaged in fights and disagreements, amongst themselves, so far in the show. Cee-C is one person that comes to mind in this regard. She has had issues with housemates like Lolu, her former partner, Ifu-Enada, Alex, and even her former strategic partner, Tobi. As youths, we begin to wonder what this show teaches us. Are we supposed to learn how to fight one another from the show?

Last Sunday, Leo and Ifu-Enada were evicted as a pair, causing Alex, who really liked Leo to cry uncontrollably. This was the fourth pair leaving the house.

The remaining housemates are playing as individuals, and will be evicted individually from this Sunday.

  • BBNaija: My positivity has kept me in the house- Rico

Rico reveals why he has continued to shake off eviction in the house.

His reason why consoling a rather unhappy Alex was due to “positivity” and abiding by the “fruits of the spirit.”

Alex who was unable to get over Leo, and the love they shared in the past, sought solace from Rico Swavey, a housemate who was keen to share his secrets of success.

“The reason why people vote for me is because I am always positive. I see light in dark and see good in the bad.

“Positive vibes is like magnet. Do not attract negative vibes. You are dealing with humans and not rice and beans, bolts or nuts,” Rico stated.

Rico who went further to add biblical excerpts to his way of life; alluded the fruits of the spirit to why he was always cool, calm and collected. He explained that this path has brought him only peace and positivity and encouraged Alex to do same.

“I focus on a good and positive mindset every time I wake up. Yes, there are times you lose balance but you ask for grace to carry on,” Rico added.

Alex accepted and even practised the message in the end, as she was seen happily interacting with other housemates and the trio of Miracle, TeddyA and Tobi while they played table tennis by the closet.

  • BBNaija: Alex breaks down as Leo is shown exit door (See Video)

Big Brother Housemate, Alex broke down into tears last night as the pair Lifu was finally shown the exit door.
Lifu which consists of both Leo and Ifu Ennada are now the fourth pair to be evicted from the house. Following the eviction of Pritto, Vandee, and K-square.
Alex who fell into uncontrollably fits of emotions, kept crying as she held onto Leo, refusing to let him go into the elevator.
Despite the stern warning of Biggie giving Leo 10 more seconds to leave the house; it took the intervention of other housemates to beg an emotional Alex to let go.
Tobi and other housemates took turns in reminding her that the parting was only temporal as both Leo and Alex will be reunited again.
Speaking after the eviction to Ebuka during the live show, Ifu was very excited to be evicted. She stated that her eviction was the will of the God.

Leo responding to his love for Alex, said he had someone else outside the house.
“I never led her on and I was very honest.”

Leo who was more than happy to return to work with his new found fame said:
“I am looking forward to going to London, thanks to Pepsi.”
  • BBNaija: LIFU evicted from show

The pair of Leo and Ifu Ennada ( LIFU ) has been evicted from the ongoing Big Brother Naija reality show.

The exit of the duo after six weeks also marks the end of eviction in pairs, just as Big Brother confided in show host, Ebuka Uchendu-Obi that there would be no immunity for Head of House henceforth in the eviction exercise.

So far, 10 housemates have been evicted from the show, leaving 10 others to continue the race.

Other housemates who were up for eviction include, Cee-C and Lolu (CeeLo), Tobi and Alex (Tolex), and Miracle and Anto (Anto).

Although Leo and Ifu Ennada are out of the game, they are the only pair with a sure prize yet.

Recall that the pair won the Pepsi Challenge that has earned them N2.5million each, all expense paid trip to London for One Fest and one year supply of Pepsi beverage and Aquafina water.

Not stopping there, the duo also won the Heritage Bank’s Treasure Hunt, with a prize yet to be announced.

  • BBNaija: You’re a coward, Cee-C tells Tobi (Video)

Erstwhile lover and Big Brother Housemate, Cee-C has challenged Tobi Bakre, calling him a coward and full of shit.

An argument ensued between the duo moments after the Saturday Night Party, where DJ Jimmy Jatt thrilled fellow housemates to a night of fun. Tobi had avoided Cee-C at the party.

Fast forward to the end of the party, Ifu Ennada played the role of a chef, as she took it upon herself to prepare noodles for the house. After scrambling for food, housemates dispersed and Tobi was captured in a conversation with TeddyA by the bathroom.

Cee-C was the subject of the discussion as Tobi made TeddyA understand that he has gotten over her, for good. TeddyA who still believed love will yet blossom between the duo, played advocacy.
It so happened that Cee-C was within earshot of the conversation as she brought news that Rico Swavey was throwing up and needed attention, intending to lure Teddy away from Tobi’s discussion.

Tobi told TeddyA to disregard Cee-C as Rico will be fine, since it wasn’t more than throwing up after downing liquor at the party.

Cee-C who was cleaning up after Rico became a bit enraged with Tobi’s discussion and stood up to challenge him, calling him unprintable names.

Cee-C called Tobi a gossip who was having “evil conversations” and seeking mass pity from the housemates. She also told him she regretted their meeting and wished they never exchanged words.

She tagged him a coward after he refused to exchange words with her and said he was “full of shit.” She also said he is “public property” and cannot handle the whole of her

“Tobi, if you can’t talk to me and keep going behind my back to spread rumours about me, then you are a coward. You are not man enough Tobi, you can’t handle this, Cee-C pointed to herself.

“Tobi, you are public property. This is the Cee-C you have been talking about all week; I am here standing in front of you. Every time you call people together, you are always talking about me. If you can’t say it, then they are all lies,” Cee-C stepped up her challenge.

TeddyA who was an onlooker in the argument quickly took his leave not without admiring the love both couples had for each other.

However, in Tobi’s opinion, the ship has sailed.

“This ship has sailed,” he said to Cee-C. “You are only succeeding in making a fool out of yourself,” he retorted.

    #BBNaija: I didn’t have a childhood- Bambam

Current Head of House, Bamike, also known as Bambam, disclosed that she did not have a childhood.

She said this today after the Heritage Bank task, where the housemate made their presentations through their representatives from their teams (White, Blue and Green)

The housemates who dispersed immediately after Biggie let them go; divided themselves into two groups.

Rico, Cee-C, and Tobi prepared lunch while the other group of Bambam, Teedy-A, Miracle, Tobi and Leo debated different arms of Nigerian Defence, focusing more on the Navy, Army and Air force.

  • Our plan, by BBNaija evictees Angel and Ahneeka

Our plan, by BBNaija evictees Angel and Ahneeka

Ïf the guitar was his unique selling point, then one could say that having been stripped of the musical instrument in the previous weeks contributed to his fall. Angel, who appeared to have been glued to his guitar was deprived of it as it was perceived as a distraction to his relationship with other housemates.

And as Ahneeka, his strategic partner leaves the house with him, many believe his ‘unpopularity’  has affected her, as she is seen as the stronger member of the pair in the eye of fans.

Joining Ebuka on stage, Ahneeka said: “I don’t know how I’m feeling… I don’t want to be here so soon, but hey”

Asked why she didn’t give Rico a chance, she said she has been friends with Angel, and that “Rico and I we were forced to be strategic partners.”

For Angel, going forward, he “would want to be more than friends with Ahneeka,”

Ahneeka returns to TV presenting and some modelling while Angel looks forward to shooting a film in May, and also release a song among other plans.

Another notable revelation from this week’s eviction which saw Cee-C and Lolu (CeeLo) and Leo and Ifu (LiFu) continuing in the game was the Pepsi Roc Da Mat Challenge won by latter N2.5million each, an all expense paid trip to London for Pepsi One Fest event and one-year supply of Pepsi and Aquafina water.

Dr Sid returned to the stage, singing ‘Open and Close’.

The show continuew with a nomination session on Monday, and the next and last sets of pairing before the remaining housemates will play as individuals.

  • BIG BROTHER NAIJA: Stunning realities give show mixed reactions

BIG BROTHER NAIJA: Stunning realities give show mixed reactions

The veracity of the term Reality Show hit Nigeria space differently, making the ongoing Big Brother Naija TV show to come under criticism by a section of the society who perceive the emotional activities of participants as a soft porn. This is just as others see things different, arguing that not only have the producers followed due process, critics can simply abstain and also deprive their kids of the show classified as 18. Incidentally, the show has generated more reactions as this year’s edition appears to  have more dose of what many perceive as ‘sex’ than the previous editions, writes JOE AGBRO JR.

IN January 2018, ten men and ten ladies marched into a house with all the basic necessities of life. However, devoid of radio and television influence, entertainment and communication and stripped of their phones, they are left to live and enjoy their own wits. In between talking, eating, drinking, it would take just a little time before sex would get into the mix.

Unlike the previous editions which started on a conservative note, this year’s edition, tagged ‘Double Wahala’ had the housemates sharing kisses nearly as soon as they entered. So hard were the kisses that on the seventh day, one of the now evicted housemates, Vandora, said it would take more than kissing to create a buzz and make a housemate ‘trend.’

It’d take more than kissing to trend here – housemates

SEVEN days into the 2018 edition of the Big Brother Naija tagged ‘Double Wahala’, the intrigues of ‘making out’ got attention with now evicted housemate, KBrule, spraining his ankle following a jump from the balcony after they partied for the first time on Saturday.

Earlier, midway into the party, KBrule had tried to get intimate with Anto who was bent on rebuffing him only to have her give Lolu, whom she was paired with, a kiss, while KBrule watched in astonishment.

Discussing, KBrule’s accident the next day, some housemates said it will take more than kissing to make housemates trend on social media as compared to the 2017 edition.

‘That’s not what is going to trend,’ Vandora, a female housemate said on Sunday morning while lounging in the garden, referring to her fellow housemates kissing for fun.

    ‘People are crazy.’

Also agreeing with her was Teddy A.

‘You understand because people dey fool each other for here,’ Teddy A added.

‘If that one happen, no bi koko (issue). Koko na those fights. As dis guy (KBrule) fall comot so, those kain things.’

Emphasising her point, Vandora said, ‘What’s kissing compared to what people are doing.’

And with Flex Condoms as a sponsor of the show, condoms, intended for protection during sex, were provided for housemates. And for a while some of the housemates wondered how come the umber of the condoms available were decreasing. While Miracle was head of the house, he said that some housemates were having sex in the shower. He particularly fingered Bambam, Teddy A, Lolu and Anto for using the condoms in the bathroom because there were no cameras in there.

“You no dey see things for this house pass me,” said Miracle to some other housemates.

“Anto and Lolu, BamBam and Teddy don knack since. Na why condom dey miss for dis house.”

The mystery surrounding the disappearing started unveiling in recent weeks as viewers watched the progressively steamy affair between Miracle and Nina who seem to lead in the ‘lovemaking’ department. Though the actions took place covertly, their sliding and humping movements under the sheets which happened twice speak volume of the acts they might have been doing. Another housemate, Tobi, also reportedly caught the duo making out in the bathroom after last Saturday night party.

During the past week, cameras caught Tee A and BamBam in compromising movements in the toilet after a heavy dose of petting. Their shadowy movements left little to the imagination of what they were doing there. Also, Alex and Leo, who had earlier claimed to be able to remain celibate for long periods seemed to give in to yearnings of the flesh as they’ve also explored each other’s bodies under the sheets.

Also, Anto and Lolu too have been caught on camera shuffling under the sheets in an intimate position. Earlier on, Anto had declared she had slept with a lot of men. Reuniting with Kbrule, Anto had said kissing means nothing to. She also dismissed sex.

“I’m a grown ass woman,” she told Kbrule.

“I’ve f..ked a lot of niggas. No one should take this personal, everybody is having good time, it’s all a game.”

And while it was Tobi and Cee-C that seemed to start a sort of romance, theirs has been full of ups and downs. Earlier in the show, Tobi had begged Cee-C for a kiss which was refused. However, some days later Tobi and Cee-C kissed to the admiration of other housemates.

“I have gotten all I needed from Cee-C,” he told other housemates earlier in the week.

“See, that girl is poisonous. I’m not apologetic for anything.”

Hence, it must have come as a surprise to viewers when on Wednesday night, Tobi and Cee-C were seen in bed, cuddling.

    Battling a sex culture

NO doubt, sex and talks about sex is more this year’s BB Naija house. This was unlike the 2017 edition that in retrospect was more conservative. On that edition, the notable couple that likely engaged in a sex act was Tall Thin Tony and Bisola. The edition also provided the only disqualification thus far in the history of Big Brother Naija where Kemen furtively groped T-Boss while she was asleep.

But it was Beverly Osu that was the first Nigerian to have sex on a Big Brother show in 2013. Taking part in the Big Brother Africa, she had made out with South Africa’s Angelo. The camera had caught them making love in the bathtub, weeks after they had been kissing. As expected, the acts have pitched Nigerians on opposite sides, agreeing and disagreeing, the morality of the reality television show.

Medical Psychologist at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, Ikeja, Lagos ascribed the dire economic situation in Nigeria, influence of media and the other cultures as responsible for the increase of sex in the Big Brother House.

“Everyone that made it there (BB Naija House) is looking at what N45m can do in my life,” he said.

It’s so much I’m willing to do anything. The people who kill, who sacrifice their parents, how much do they really get from the money rituals. So you can imagine, if it’s just to expose their body or have sex in the glare of everybody, to them it’s not a big deal.

“The second one is the importation of culture and the effects of the media. Over the years, pornography has increased. It’s now more available than ever because almost everybody can access the internet and access pornography. The more you watch something, the more effects it has on you. The more you watch this pornography, the more you feel there is no big deal about it. Others are doing it and then what’s the big deal?

“Then the influence of other cultures on our own culture. That’s another factor. This Brother Brother Naija that you’re watching did not originate from Nigeria. There have been Big Brothers in other places. So having watched these in other cultures, they say, oh, if you’re going to win, maybe you need to do this, you need to do that. I guess that’s one of the reason why you find that happening in spite of our own conservative culture.”

Still over 40 days to go in the house before a winner emerges, the Big Brother Naija 2018 edition has already garnered itself a notoriety for sex. In fact, given the conservative nature of Nigerians, perhaps it might come as little surprise that housemates prefer to have ‘sex’ under the sheets.

“Some under-the-duvet movement be looking like sex tape these days,” said BamBam on Thursday, conscious of the interpretations of ‘moving sheets.’

But the reality of the show is that it brings out the reality in the young Nigerians as the society decides who gets to win the coveted prize of an SUV and N45m.

Reactions trail sex scene aired on BBNaija

Several Nigerians have expressed divergent views on the trending video showing BBNaija, ‘Double Wahala’ housemates, Oluwabamike Olawumi, a.k.a BamBam and Tope Adenibuyan, a.k.a Teddy A, allegedly having sex.

The two housemates have been criticised after pictures and video of the act from the episode aired in the wee hours of Tuesday on DSTV, surfaced on various social media.

While some viewers felt the content was too revealing for the Nigerian audience, others are of the opinion that such scenes can be broadcast since the show is classified for age 18 years and above.

Reno Omokri, aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan expressed concerns why housemates allegedly having sex in the toilet are being referred to as stars.
In a tweet, the former presidential aide cautioned Nigerians against replicating everything from the Western world.

He wrote, “When I was a child, only animals had intercourse in the open for all to see!

“We have a culture. Not everything from the West is good!”

Below also are some of the tweets:

@bbnaijagossip wrote: “There is life after BBNaija to those of you supporting nonsense and immoral life. And some of you will be the ones that will dig up the history when the time comes. Hypocrites that know the truth but better cover it in the name of entertainment rated 18.”

@barinyang wrote: “Sex, Nudity, Language and Violence are why some television shows are rated 18. That doesn’t also mean that every person, 18 and above, must watch those shows. Copy that.”

@Kaybbie_kubbie tweeted: “You all should stop kids from watching the Big Brother o. I am tired of reading insults after two adults have sex. It is a TV show, rated 18 and some people still complain after watching adults have sex.”

Also, music producer Don Jazzy tweeted @donjazzy, “I am not even judging…You never use toilet before? Cast the first stone.”

Eccentric actorDenrele twitted @denrele_edun writing, “Look at that dewy glow on BamBam.
“Never seen her giggly and vivacious!

Meanwhile, the battle for prizes worth 45 million naira continues as three pairs are up for possible eviction on Sunday.
