    Omotola clarified that she has been in Nigeria since December 2024 and remains in the country, dismissing claims that her return was triggered by the wildfires.

    She expressed gratitude for the concern and support she received, while also acknowledging the severe impact of the wildfires, which have displaced thousands, including high-profile residents in Los Angeles.

    She wrote: “Public Statement. Ladies and gentlemen, I want to take a moment to address the incredible outpouring of concern and support I’ve received over the past few days regarding the fires in Los Angeles. First and foremost, I want to thank each and every one of you who have reached out with kind words, prayers, and love. Your thoughtfulness means the world to me.

I kindly urge media outlets and individuals to correct this misinformation.

    “That said, my heart remains in Los Angeles during this difficult time. It is not just a city to me—it’s a home, a community, and a place where countless dreams continue to Fly. As the fires continue to threaten lives and homes, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted, from first responders working tirelessly to those who have faced unimaginable loss.

    “This moment is a reminder of how interconnected we all are, regardless of where we stand in the world. It is a call to unity, resilience, and empathy.     Actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji has shared the humorous story of how he proposed to his wife, Bimpe Oyebade-Adedimeji, in a recent interview with Chude. 

    He revealed that Mo Bimpe thought he was joking when he proposed over the phone.

    According to Lateef, Mo Bimpe’s initial hesitation was due to his Islamic faith, as she feared her father would not approve.

    “I called her and told her I wanted to ask her something, then I told her I wanted to marry her. She was just joking, like, ‘What is doing this one? Get out! I can’t marry a Muslim; are you okay? My daddy won’t even hear that”, he said.

    He recounted how he arranged to meet Mo Bimpe’s father and asked for her hand in marriage.

    After promising to take care of his daughter, Mo Bimpe’s father agreed to the union.

    “Then I told her that we’d go see her dad, and I’d speak to him and calm him down. So we went to her village during one of their masquerade festivals, and towards the end, I asked to see her dad. I promised him that I’d take care of his daughter, and he said he’d pray and get back to me, and that was it”, he said.

    The couple had consistently denied being in a romantic relationship before their wedding, but Lateef revealed that they dated for about three months before tying the knot.

    “The proposal wasn’t planned because we just dated for like two, three months and then we got married”, he added.

    Lateef and Mo Bimpe got married in December 2021, with a traditional wedding in Ekiti State and a Nikkai ceremony in Lagos State.

    Omoni Oboli assured her fans that her channel is committed to originality and that she is working closely with her legal team to resolve the situation.
