    Regina Daniels bags new appointment

    Popular actress, Regina Daniels is excited over her new role.

    Daniels announced on her Instagram page that she has been appointed as the social secretary of 10th Senators’ Wives Association of Nigeria

    Her hubby, Ned Nwoko on July 6, resumed as a senator after he took the Oath of Office and was officially inaugurated as a Member of the 10th Senate of the National Assembly on June 13.

    Nwoko under the PDP defeated the then incumbent senator, Peter Nwaoboshi of the APC to emerge as the winner of the Delta North Senatorial elections in February 2023.

    His victory as the representative of the Anioma, Delta North people at the Red Chamber, automatically secured a spot for the movie star among the league of Senators wives who held their inaugural meeting on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.

    Updating fans about the new development, the mother of two revealed among other things that she clinched a position at the forum.

    Sharing a photo with other senators’ wives, she wrote: “Yesterday was the first inaugural meeting of the 10th Senator’s wives association of Nigeria.

    “Hosted by our mummy Her Excellency Mrs Ekaette Akpabio the wife of the senate president of Nigeria. It was a meeting specifically about the growth of our country and ways in which we can help our senators/husbands and the First Lady of the federation serve the great people of Nigeria better.

    “I was also made the social secretary of the forum. I look forward to a great Nigeria.”

    Afrobeats singer, Yes Liya, otherwise called Liya has confirmed her exit from Davido Music Worldwide (DMW)

    Born Abdulsalam Suliyat Modasola, the former DMW signee revealed this in a question and answer session with fans after one inquired if she was still with the label.

    While she affirmed her exit from the record label, Liya however, noted her love for her former boss, Davido remains steadfast.

    “Are you still in DMW?” The fans queried.

    “Nopee but #30bg for lifee”, she responded, accompanying the words with a vibrant love emoji.

    In 2020, Liya was introduced to the public through Davido’s tweet, 5 hours after their meeting in the club through Peruzzi.

    She came into the music scene with the release of her first single under Davido Music Worldwide, titled “Melo”, shortly after signing a record deal with the label in 2020.

    The accompanying music video for “Melo”, was released on December 8, 2020, starring Davido, and directed by Dammy Twitch for DMW.

    In an interview with OkayAfrica, on September 14, 2021, the fast-rising songstress said: “I played Davido a couple of my songs, including “Melo” and he was hooked, then he asked me and my manager to travel with him the next day to Abuja.

    “During our trip, he started saying: “First lady way”, then took it to twitter.”

    On October 2, 2020, Davido officially signed Liya, as the first female artist under his imprint Davido Music Worldwide.

    Reality TV star, Tochi has showed solidarity with his colleague, Phyna who he noted has been constantly being ridiculed on social media.

    He lamented the intense bashing being meted out on the ‘Level Up’ winner by internet users, particularly the women; describing it as disheartening.

    Indeed, following Phyna’s remark on the deceased girlfriend of Killaboi, whose life was terminated by her lover, she has continued to attract criticisms and distasteful comments from many.

    Phyna in her reaction to the tragic incident warned girls seeking soft life to act smartly and intelligently.

    She advised them to either hold tightly to God or voodoo as they wouldn’t be able to navigate through life all by themselves.

    Perhaps, her comment didn’t augur well with social media users who jumped on the opportunity to lampoon her, accusing her of mocking the dead among other things.

    Making a case for his colleague, Tochi urged social media users, the women in particular to simmer down with the insults thrown at Phyna.

    He wrote: “I open twitter every time and I see people abusing this chick @unusualphyna you guys really have to take a break it’s getting too much! Especially from her fellow women it’s so disheartening…”

    In a previous tweet, Tochi argued people could correct others without passing abusive remarks.

    In the same vein, he counselled ladies who’ve never been shown any form of love or care to buy teddies rather than come online to agonise others.

    “You can correct someone politely without insulting them, some of you need to start watching how you insult people here! If no one ever cared or showed you love we must not suffer it, go and buy a teddy bear”, he stated.

    Wizkid made his first appearance at the 80,000-capacity Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last month.

    He got fans speculating he was probably there to record content ahead of his anticipated ‘More Love Less Ego’ concert which would be taking place on July 29, 2023.

    Big Wiz would not be the first artiste to perform at the newly built stadium, but would certainly be the first and only African artiste in history to headline an event at the venue.

    Responding, ‘Emeka the Stallion‘ bragged about not just being better than Boy Director but everyone else as far as the creative field was concerned.

    “To be honest, I don’t think anybody is better than me at anything.

    “So, it’s a very interesting question to pose.

    “I believe that I’m one of the most creative human beings and if I put my mind to it, I will be the best at any field that involves creativity.

    “So, the answer is definitely yes. I’m better than everybody.”

    Davido’s adopted son, Prince Abdulmalik Uthman is overjoyed to announce the completion of his tertiary education, stating the singer will be excited.

    Also identified as Man Like Abdul, the latest graduate from Adeleke University shared photos cladded in a convocation gown via his Instagram handle.

    In his post, Abdul revealed he bagged a Bachelor degree in Engineering, admitting the journey to that point was tough.

    Albeit, he expressed gratitude for the willpower to have surmounted every obstacle and arriving at his destination.

    Acknowledging the Afrobeats maestro who he referred to as popsi, Malik suggested he would be over the moon to know he’s now a graduate.

    He also appreciated his sweet mother for her support while sending love to his late biological father, Obama DMW who was a close friend and road manager of Davido.

    Obama DMW aka 44 was one of Davido’s closest associate before his demise.

    He died on Tuesday, 29 June, 2021 at a Lagos hospital after he complained of difficulty in breathing.

    Following his death, Davido adopted his son, Prince Abdulmalik Uthman and has since taken up responsibilities for his education and otherwise.
