    Princess Ade to release new single, Local

    UK.-based Afrobeats singer Princess Oreoluwakitan Adenuga aka Princess Ade is set to release her sophomore single entitled: Local.

    The 27-year-old singer and songwriter teamed up with Grammy nominated producer ATG for the production of her second sophomore scheduled for release in the end of the first quarter of 2023.

    The beautiful and multi-talented entertainer is said to be currently working on songs for her first ever Extended Playlist (EP) as an independent artiste.

    Princess Ade’s journey into musicdom began at the age of 5, when she started learning to play before joining classical singing to become a member of the orchestra and many choirs in school at just 11. At 18, she joined a gospel choir who won the ACS Gospel Choir in 2014 after which she decided to puruse a solo career.

    In 2021, she performed alongside Zlatan at his 2021 sold-out 02 Indigo concert and in May 2022, she released her debut single ‘Moving On.’

    Africa Magic calls for entries ahead AMVCA’s of 9th edition

    The organisers of Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, MultiChoice Nigeria and Africa Magic, have called for entries ahead of the award’s ninth edition.

    This is coming following the eight day extravagant eighth edition that held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, Nigeria in 2022.

    The organisers have called on all African filmmakers to submit their movies and films publicly exhibited or broadcast between December 1, 2021, and January 31, 2023, for the 2023 edition of the awards ceremony.

    In the call, organisers stressed that the entry portal opened on February 20, 2023, and closes on March 10, 2023 saying all films (aired in cinemas or otherwise), made-for-television movies or television series are eligible so long as they fall within the specified timeline.

    On the forthcoming ninth edition, the Head of Content and West Africa Channels MultiChoice, Dr Busola Tejumola said: “The AMVCAs returned last year after a one-year break with much pomp and pageantry. We had an eight-day celebration filled with several activities affecting the different facets of our industry. Since then, we’ve seen more brilliant work we look forward to celebrating at the ninth edition of the awards. This year’s AMVCAs will once again demonstrate our intentionality in spotlighting the tremendous talent we have in the African film and TV industry.”

    The ninth edition, slated for later in the year, will see the return of the social media category which was won by Sabinus in 2022. The award tagged ‘Best Online Social Content Creator’ recognises the growing acceptance of content creators across Africa. There are also categories like the trailblazer and lifetime awards that are often emotional wins.

    Popular actress-cum-singer Angela Okorie has alleged schools abroad teach children a lot about how to become homosexuals.

    She stated that this ‘supposition’ informed her decision not to relocate her son abroad.
    The mother of one made this known in an interview with Nedu and others on the ‘Honest Bunch Podcast’, stating her claim was indeed a huge problem.

    “My major fear and that’s the reason it was so hard for me to relocate my son abroad is because of what they are teaching children.

    Standup comedian, Chidi Uzoma, a.k.a Baba De Baba’s lover has ended the relationship with him over his controversial post amid the online drama between former actress, Tonto Dikeh and her ex-hubby, Olakunle Churchill.

    He suggested in a recent Instagram post that Dikeh wouldn’t mind returning to her ex-hubby as a second wife after realising husbands are scarce.

    The humour merchant’s comment earned him backlashes from Tonto’s fans after it went viral on social media.

    His lover, who claimed she didn’t like the ‘negative’ attention because of the comment ended their relationship noting she was doing so on her mother’s counsel.

    Nigeria-American musician Mfon Bassey Essien aka Mista Styles has highlighted the importance of money management and multiple sources of income streams for musicians and entertainment creatives.

    Formerly known as FreeStyle tha’ Shogun, the artist, who has been in the industry for over a decade, explained he understands the struggles of musicians in managing their finances and building sustainable careers.

    The rapper and songwriter, who has released several hit songs, believes that every musician needs to have a clear understanding of money management and the importance of having multiple streams of income.

    “Moneymaking in the Nigerian music industry is not as easy as it seems.

    “It requires discipline, hard work, and an understanding of money management. It’s not just about making music and getting paid. You need to have a plan for your finances and be intentional about it,” Mista Style said.

    He encouraged musicians and creatives to diversify by exploring other revenue sources beyond music. He suggests that musicians can consider investing in real estate, starting a business, or exploring other creative ventures that align with their skills and interests.

    “We have so much more to offer beyond our music. We need to leverage our talents and skills to create multiple income streams and build sustainable careers.”

    He also emphasised the importance of seeking professional advice when it comes to money management.

    He suggested that musicians should work with financial advisors and accountants who specialize in the entertainment industry to help them manage their finances effectively.
    “As musicians, we need to understand that we are running a business.

    “We need to take our finances seriously and seek professional advice when necessary. This will help us make informed decisions and avoid financial pitfalls,” he said.

    Standup comedian Chidi Uzoma aka Baba De Baba has said actress Tonto Dikeh would graciously accept to be a second wife to her ex-hubby, Churchill Olakunle if the opportunity exists.

    The ex-couple has recently been engaged in an online war after Churchill celebrated his son’s 7th birthday with a post on his Instagram page.

    His act attracted tongue lashes from the former actress’ bestie, fans and Dikeh herself.

    With all the drama that has ensued, the comic personality said fans shouldn’t be deceived by the politician’s act because she has learnt the street has nothing to offer after she exited her marriage.

    He further advised Churchill to reconsider taking back his ex-wife but ensure he makes her quit drinking alcohol.

    The OAP, during her podcast with BBNaija star, Neo Mobor Akpofure on the ‘Bluezone Conversations’ argued most Nigerian men were incapable of providing s3xual pleasure for their women.

    She however rated the s3xual performance of broke men higher than their rich counterparts.

    “80% of Nigerian men do not know what it is to please a woman.

    “The technicality, I can always tell what comes up next,” she said. 

    Describing the love-making process with a typical Nigerian, especially the rich ones, she explained: “You kiss, maybe they rub you on your neck.

    They emerged after seven of the 16 housemates left on the show gathered at the arena for the ‘Head of House’ game for the sixth Head of House game.

    Unfortunately, Juvone, KhosicleT and Thabana were barred from taking part in the Challenge. This comes after Biggie charged one or more persons from the pairs with breaking the rules of the Great Divide.

    After a fiercely competitive showdown, which also left three pairs out in the cold Yemi Cregx and Nelisa clinched the head of house title.

    As usual, the Head of House (HoH) title comes with some extra privileges. Yemi Cregx and Nelisa get to sit on the throne-like HoH chair, get information directly from Big Brother and read out the day’s task to the other housemates.

    Lagos socialite Cubana Chief Priest has pledged to take up the tuition of a teenager at the Lagos rally of the Labour Party standard bearer, Peter Obi.

    The teenager, Alabi Yusuf Quadri, became an internet sensation after a photo that captured him standing in front of Obi’s convoy on Saturday, February 12 went viral.

    The photo captured Yusuf standing closely in front of a Toyota Land Cruiser SUV with his arms stretched sideways and the LP principal standing through the open roof of the car, smiling at the teenager.

    Explaining the reason for his action, the 15-year-old said his love for the former Anambra Governor propelled him.

    Chief Priest vowed to change the boy’s life as he shared the teenager’s bank details via his Instagram page soliciting funds for him.

    In a new post, the celebrity barman has pledged to take his philanthropic gesture towards Yusuf further as he pledged to train the lad from secondary to tertiary level.

    He appreciated all who donated towards ensuring the teenage school dropout alongside his family were taken out of the trenches.

    Sharing a photo with Yusuf, Segun of Lagos wrote: “Yusuf’s Life Will Never Be The Same Again. He Has Received So Much That Will Take His Family & Him Out Of The Trenches.
