Actor Fredrick offers tips for successful marriage

Popular actor and filmmaker, Fredrick Leonard, has displayed couple goals for the New Year with a video shared on his Instagram page to entertain and enlighten his fans, particularly the men.

Fondly called Freddie, the movie star was seen with a bone-straight wig on his hair while he pressed his phone.

Apparently, his wife, Peggy Ovire-Leonard did not have her mannequin with her as they were on a getaway and she could not carry it along.

So, her hubby offered himself to be used as one as the video captured her using a hand drier to dry the wig on Freddie’s before she began straightening it.

As Peggy straightened the hair with the hot tool, when it got close to the actor’s face, he screamed, ‘Babe, my face! My face!! Heeehhhhnn!! Babeski babeski!!”

Laughing, the wife cut in saying, ‘It’ll not touch your face.”

Then, ‘Film Lord’ continued, “Yes na! This is what marriage is, use me, I use you. So, my wife today is using me as her mannequin. Cos we are on our way, on a short getaway.

“So, we’re not home, we’re somewhere really special and nice. And she didn’t come with her mannequin. She couldn’t have even come with it. So, I’m standing in as the mannequin. Na so e be o!”

Enlightening unmarried men about marriage, Freddie stated stuff like what he was doing and other sacrifices were needed to make their wives happy and by extension have a beautiful-cum-successful marriage.

Alexx Ekubo’s ex-fiancée deletes apology post, claims actor forced her to write it

Social media is currently agog as Alexx Ekubo’s ex-fiancée, Fancy Acholonu, has deleted her apology post while accusing the actor of pressuring her to write it.

On December 29, the US-based model made an Instagram post begging her former lover for forgiveness after calling off their wedding.

She said she had been wallowing in grief since she parted ways with him.

In the ‘heartfelt’ message, Acholonu said she still loved her ex-fiancée, admitting she overreacted to have called off their wedding.

She also apologised to Ekubo’s family and friends, wishing they forgave her as she has since learnt her lessons.

Responding to her apology, the movie star in the post comment section simply wrote: “I appreciate the apology. May God bless us all.”

However, on Tuesday, Acholonu shared a photo of herself wishing everyone a ‘Happy New Year’,

She wrote: “Happy New Year everyone 2023 will be my year of strength, being fearless, speaking up for myself & finally no longer under anyone’s control. I’m free, the chain is broken. May God bless us all.”

Taking to the comment section of her latest post, a fan identified as ‘douglaspeace_ra said: “Did Alex convince u to make that apology post? I saw something on the blogs. If he did. Sis, that is extremely manipulative. You should run for your life he only wanted to use for revenge.”

Responding, Acholonu stated: “Yes, he did. It’s true. I fell for it. My eyes are now fully open. I’m at peace & now have a full understanding.”

She also revealed she was glad they weren’t back together after a user wrote: “I’m glad you guys are back together.”

She replied: “We’re not and I’m glad about that hun.”

The entrepreneur, reacting to another social media user identified as Grace who appealed to her to cease baring her heart about her ex-fiancée, continued: “No I won’t.

“Alex has succeeded in trying to ruin me and my reputation just because I left him.

“Grace you slightly know me, I’m calm quiet, dance, play, work and mind my business.

“I endured everything a Nigerian woman typically does from her man which is lies and all the cheating etc, but to make me apologize constantly publicly. It is WRONG!

“I never revealed why I left. I never bashed him. I only said sorry for making a statement. I am someone’s child, someone’s future wife. I need to speak up for myself. Don’t tell me to stop. Silence is why many people are depressed.

“Alex needs to stop is manipulation! His ego and wanting me to say sorry all the time is a problem NOT me! Every time I’ve made it’s a statement is because of HIM! Don’t tell me to stop. Tell him”

  • Being female is twice harder, says Molt’N

Being female is twice harder, says Molt’N

Budding Nigerian female rapper, Molt’N has admitted that female artists have to work twice as hard as their male counterparts to attain desired level of success in the music industry.

Molt’N, who recently hit a cummulative 150,000 streams on all stream platforms, said she believes that women find it difficult to be successful but she is ready to overcome the formidable hurdles.

“Being a female rapper is even twice harder as you have to overcome too many hurdles to be recognized and respected in this art,” she said.

Continuing, the Abia State University graduate said, “That being said, it feels enormously satisfying to keep doing this and remain remarkable at it. The harder the task, the more commendable the victory, right?

“To be honest, “rap” itself is not an easy genre. Having to convey strong or relevant messages by putting together profound lyrical content filled with rhymes and most importantly, figures of speech which have to be memorable isn’t as easy as it may appear.”

With her top-charting EP titled, ‘The OutSet, the rapper has positioned herself as a star to watch out for in 2023. The body of work contains 6 tracks written and performed by the artist. It was produced by Donl37.

She recently had her first live studio performance at Echroom where she performed two tracks from her EP “No signal” and “Ichie”. According to Molt’N “As an artist, you can never replace the feeling you derive from a live performance with anything.”

Molt’N said she cannot be exclusively placed in a singular box as she can be genre-fluid as her “alter ego” Netlom likes to sing and experiment with other genres.

Molt’N is not like any other rapper, besides being able to rap very fast she also puts out conscious music that deals with real life and topical issues; this is evident as every song on her EP is relatable to some real experience from ‘Debit Card’ that tackles the issue of love for money to ‘Cry Like A Boss’, ‘Come In’, ‘Day’ and others
