  • Mo Abudu bereaved

MOSUNMOLA ABUDU and the entire EbonyLive Television (ELTV) family are bereaved. The Head of Programming of ELTV, Pamela Ofoegbu, died in the early hours of Tuesday, November 4, 2014, after a long battle with cancer.

Pamela was a creative mind whose resolve for excellence was not negotiable. Her professionalism shone through as one of the finest in the industry. The low-cut wearing lady had also worked as the commissioning editor for Africa at MNet before pitching her tent with Mo Abudu.

Pamela was in the television industry for over a decade, during which she played a major role in the production of multiple award-winning programmes that cut across all genres. Inside sources at ELTV said that the closeness between Pamela and Mo went beyond profession. They were close confidants.

Pamela was one of the few persons whose judgements Mo sought in many situations. Mo, the Chief Executive Officer of ELTV, had always used every available platform to speak glowingly about Pamela’s immense contribution to ELTV.

  • Nike Oshinowo on low profile

IS it motherhood or she has simply grown weary of public appearance? That is the question that is trailing the absence of Adenike Ashabi Osinowo from the social scene. She might as well had decided to cut down on her public appearance when she separated from her former lover, Dr. Tunde Soleye.

Since the arrival of her set of twins (a boy and a girl) via a gestational surrogate in the United States of America and the subsequent showcasing of the babies in Hello! Nigeria magazine, Nike has continued to stay away from the social sphere and the prying eyes of the media. Her whereabouts are hardly known these days.

Earlier this year, she granted an interview where she narrated her journey into motherhood. She gave their surname as Oshinowo.

Nike herself later admitted that much when she said: “I chose to have my children look like the rest of my family. I chose to have my children look like my cousins, the children of my sister, the children of my brother  all the same colour. I did what I needed to do to make that happen. My children bear Oshinowo. It’s a very good surname to have!”
