Erica slams beneficiaries with endless financial demands

Reality star Erica Nlewedim has expressed disappointment with individuals who take advantage of her kindness.

In a post on X, the former Big Brother Naija star lamented that people she’s helped financially often continue to ask for more money with endless problems and excuses.

She specifically called out strangers who seem surprised that she answers their requests initially but then returns with more issues.

Erica appeared shocked by the sense of entitlement some individuals displayed after she’d already assisted them.

Nlewedim wrote: “Everyone I’ve given money out of the goodness of my heart has always found another excuse to ask for more and more, very disappointing especially the ones I don’t know who’re usually surprised I answered, they always have more problems that need more money!”

    I never dated M.I Abaga – Waje

Singer Waje has dismissed rumours of a romantic relationship with rapper M.I Abaga, attributing the speculation to their collaborative work on a romantic song in the past.

In a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, Waje clarified that she and M.I were merely friends who came together to create a compelling love story through music.

Waje explained that their hit song “One Naira” sparked the rumors due to its romantic theme, but she emphasised that their collaboration was strictly professional.

“Because of the rollout and romantic theme of my collaborative song with M.I, One Naira, a lot of people speculated that we were dating. But we never dated. We were just friends who saw how great a love story in a song could be, so we created characters that would help drive the song,” she said.

Waje also expressed unwillingness to settle for an unsuccessful partner, citing her age and the value she places on building a meaningful connection.

Waje opens up on teenage pregnancy, single motherhood journey

Singer Aituaje Iruobe popularly known as Waje has opened up about becoming pregnant at 16 and raising her daughter alone after the father denied responsibility.

In an interview on The Honest Bunch podcast, the singer detailed the emotional and logistical struggles of teenage motherhood and how she kept the pregnancy hidden from her mother until the fifth month.

According to her, when her mother confronted the boy’s family, he flatly denied involvement.

“I was 16. I didn’t tell my mom until about five months. My mom had gone to his family and said, okay, so your son and my daughter… and he was like, no, it’s not him,” she said.

Years later, Waje said the man resurfaced from Canada, claiming he had been young and wanted to meet his daughter.

Speaking further, Waje said she resisted, citing concerns over his stability and potential to disrupt her child’s life.

“Many times when fathers or mothers are protecting their child, it’s because you already know that this person is not stable. This person can come and destabilise the life of the child,” she said.

She also revealed they discussed doing a DNA test, but he kept delaying it.

“He agreed, and I waited and waited. Nine months passed, then years, and he still didn’t do it,” she said.

By the time her daughter turned 18, it was too late for him to file for her.

“She turned 18 and you can’t file for a child at 18. I was mad because now she’s in university and I’m paying school fees in dollars. You can’t be calling me to say you want to send $200. We could have avoided all this,” she said.

The singer added her main focus has always been her daughter’s well-being and giving her the best opportunities in life.

Waje said: “I had always said that my daughter would get the best education that I can afford. So I told him, “You are a citizen, file for your child.”

  • Odumodublvck opens up on year-long abuse of loved one

Odumodublvck opens up on year-long abuse of loved one

Rapper Odumodublvck has addressed a prolonged personal crisis, revealing that someone close to him has endured over a year of online abuse, threats and violations allegations.

In a post on X, he stated that the concerns were ignored by powerful figures in the music industry.

He wrote: “The past few weeks have been heavy. My friends and I have been painted in terrible lights, and a deeply personal and painful situation has been twisted into something it is not.

“For over a year, someone close to me has been subjected to ongoing online abuse, threats, and personal violations, and at different points, efforts were made to amplify that abuse. Watching that play out publicly has been difficult, especially as false narratives and targeted attacks continued”.

The “Declan Rice” hitmaker described the situation as deeply painful and personal, rejecting attempts to frame it as a “rap beef” or career-boosting publicity stunt.

He also condemned the exploitation of personal trauma for entertainment, calling it “insensitive” and “deeply disrespectful.”

“This issue has now been twisted to look like a “rap beef,” a move to service someone’s career. I said it last year, even when tensions were low, that this is not rap beef. It’s a personal matter that has been exploited for clout. Reducing a person’s hurt to entertainment is not only insensitive but deeply disrespectful, he alleged.

The artist, known for his unfiltered commentary, said he had privately appealed to label executives, industry leaders, and influential figures to intervene, but received no meaningful support.

He said: “Throughout this ordeal, I tried to resolve things the right way. I reached out privately to people with the power and influence to intervene, including label heads, executives, and industry leaders. I believed they would do what was right. But no one helped. Many chose to protect their interests, their artists, and their investments instead of standing up for the truth”.

Odumodublvck emphasised that his eventual public response was not motivated by ego or rivalry, but by a need to protect the individual after others failed to act.

He said: “When it became clear that no one would protect her, I felt compelled to step in. These actions were not driven by ego or pride, but by anger, frustration, and the need to defend someone I care about who had been tormented for far too long while everyone looked away”.

The rapper, whose real name is Tochukwu Ojogwu, has a history of speaking out on social and industry issues.

He reiterated his commitment to honesty, even at the cost of relationships with former allies

Odumodublvck, who kept the name of the individual at the center of the abuse or specified the alleged perpetrators undisclosed, has now declared the matter closed, stating his focus is now on “peace, closure, and moving forward”.

“I have always stood for honesty and accountability. I’ve called out those I once respected because when it mattered most, they chose silence. That is not leadership. That is not character.

“At the end of the day, you can decide if your hate for me outweighs your sense of justice. The matter has been addressed, and I have chosen not to revisit it. My focus now is on peace, closure, and moving forward,” he stated.
