    On February 14, 2025, he was awarded an Honorary Professional Doctorate Degree in Business Management with a specialization in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management (Honoris Causa) by the prestigious City University, located at the Maison de l’Amérique Latine in Bd Saint-Germain, Paris, France. This accolade was presented to him by Dr. Alaric Naude, President of City University, who highlighted Dr. Okunola’s exceptional business acumen and his extensive philanthropic activities as the basis for this distinguished recognition.

    Further cementing his reputation as a humanitarian and leader, on Saturday, March 1, 2024, at a gala event held at the Eko Hotels and Suites, the management of The Sun Newspaper honoured Dr. Okunola as the Humanitarian Personality of the Year 2024. This award was presented through his Habeeb Okunola Foundation, an organization dedicated to uplifting the underprivileged through numerous charitable initiatives and empowering women within the community. During the vibrant award ceremony, Dr Okunola took to the stage to receive the honour from socialite and businessman Obinna Iyiegbu, famously known as Obi Cubana.

     In his heartfelt acceptance speech, he expressed profound gratitude to his dedicated team and God for enabling his accomplishments over the years.

    Dr. Okunola reiterated his commitment to philanthropy, vowing to continue donating a substantial portion of his business earnings towards humanitarian efforts aimed at the uplifting and development of society.

    In light of his recent achievements, it has been reported that following the conclusion of the Ramadan fasting period, his friends and associates are planning a celebratory victory party in his honour, a gesture of appreciation for the commendable work he has consistently pursued throughout his career.

    During the ceremony, many of the distinguished guests were said to have intoned that she would have also won an award for the Philanthropist of the Year, if there was such a category.

    Indeed, she is not lagging behind in philanthropy, considering that her well documented humanitarian gestures had impacted millions of people and communities in Nigeria over the years.

    In her younger days, she was the envy of some of her friends simply because she easily proved to have known her right from her left when some of them were still tied to their mothers’ apron strings. Much later, when she floated her business, it took her little or no time to prove that she is indeed set out to pursue her dream on the global stage. Though it was considered an impossible task by some naysayers, she was determined to pursue her ambition of ruling the world with her unwavering doggedness. Today, she rubs shoulders with other world-class and renowned business moguls as she has gradually built her career to the international stage.

Every detail of the event had been meticulously planned to reflect an ambience of beauty and sophistication—lavish decorations transformed the venue into a paradise with intricate floral arrangements, sparkling lights, and elegant table settings that captivated all in attendance.
