  • Moyo Ogunlewe’s development agenda

    Moyo Ogunlewe’s development agenda

When the debate on youth’s engagement in politics came up, some argued that youths are not ready for the burden and responsibility that comes with political office.

The argument was youthful exuberance and juvenile delinquencies which are tendencies that might well affect the dream of youth engagement in mainstream politics.

Today, as youth engagement in politics is beginning to take over across the country one of the few who seem different, proving cynics wrong is the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Lagos, Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe. He has shattered the cliché and stereotype attached to youth in politics as nonprogressive and non-focused but has gone all out to consolidate the work of State Governor Babajide Sanwoolu in his quest to better the lives of his people by bringing the dividend of democracy closer to the people.

After being sworn in, he made clear his intention to redefine Kosofe to the envy of others through developmental projects. Since he took charge, the review has been positive as he took on massive rehabilitation of several roads across the LGA.

For his love for education as a trained Business Administration, he distributed free GCE forms to indigent students within Kosofe for which he was applauded by Sohcahtoa Foundation.

Apart from the GCE and Jamb forms that he usually gives out to students, he is currently working on the construction of a more fully equipped primary health care centre where people from the LGA can benefit at a subsidized cost.

Ever since then, he made up his mind to chase his dreams of becoming not just a lawyer but a top celebrated legal icon with much gusto.
