Mission group sets to distribute free audio bible, begins massive campaign

The Christian Network for African Missions has restated its commitment to free distribution of audio Bible to people who can’t read and are visually impaired.

The body made the commitment in a statement ahead of a massive campaign for the use of the audio Bible as an evangelical tool and for use by all Christians.

The campaign launch  is slated for  August 8 at the Presbyterian Church, Yaba.

Top church leaders including the chairman of the Lagos Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria , Bishop Stephen Adegbite, captains of industry, entrepreneurs and missions stakeholders will gather to launch the device on August 8.

Chairman of the Planning committee, for the event which is tagged Unveil, Rev Tony Nwanehiudo, said in the statement that the audio Bible has proved to be the game changer in the mission field.

He said the organisation has in the last three years been producing and distributing audio Bible devices across Africa and Asia adding that the impact has been phenomenal.

Nwanehiudo stressed that the use of the audio Bible which comes in the form of a handy radio device has gained momentum.

‘Many people who can’t read and who are impaired visually are embracing it, and God is using it to transform lives,” he stressed.

Each of the device, according to him, ‘costs about N8000 to produce.

“It uses solar light for it to recharge so there is no worry about electric power for it to work,” Nwanehiudo added.

He disclosed that about N38 million was spent to produce copies of the device in 2024, which were distributed to people free of charge.

“What we have done over the years is to give out the device to people free of charge. But the cost of producing it is being borne by our partners and individuals who are committed to the task of soul-winning.

“We don’t intend to change that. Our hope and desire is that through the device, the word of God will gain more ground, especially among those who can’t read,” he added.

Apart from being used to reach the unreached communities, Nwanehiudo said the audio Bible is a great instrument for spiritual edification.

“There are times you don’t want to read the Bible. You want to listen to it. By listening to it, you gather a lot of spiritual momentum.

“The Bible says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. The more you hear, the more faith develops in you. It is a device for every Christian.

“That is why we are taking the campaign everywhere. Apart from asking people to support the mass production, there is a need for every child of God to have a copy of the audio Bible.

“This is not the same as listening to the audio Bible online on our phones. It is free from the distractions that come with online use. It is a device solely devoted to the Bible,” he stressed..

The August event, according to him, promises to be the starting point. ‘It will mark the beginning of a Bible Revolution and a missions awareness campaign that will lead to a huge harvest of souls.’

Policeman receives healing at Prophet Fufeyin’s crusade

A police officer received healing recently at the live service of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry in Warri, Delta State presided over by renowned televangelist Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin.

The tongue of the police officer had mysteriously protruded from his mouth and refused to retract.

In the now widely circulated footage, the officer appeared visibly distressed, struggling with the unusual affliction.

As Fufeyin walked toward him, the atmosphere was charged with faith. With calm authority and spiritual clarity, the Man of God prayed over the officer, commanding the tongue to return in the name of Jesus.

Within moments, the miracle occurred—the policeman’s tongue slid back into his mouth, and he burst into grateful tears.

Witnesses described the scene as humbling and faith-boosting. Congregants erupted in praise, shouting and weeping in awe at the visible demonstration of God’s power working through His servant.

“This is beyond science. This is the hand of God! Prophet Jeremiah is truly anointed for this generation,” one eyewitness testified in the video.

The healing quickly gained traction online, sparking widespread praise and testimonies from believers around the world.

Clips of the moment have been shared thousands of times on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, with many hailing it as a sign of God’s power still active today.

As with many public miracles, the event has drawn its share of skeptics, including controversial social commentator Verydarkman (VDM), who attempted to discredit the moment online

However, for many in the body of Christ, this only strengthened their faith.

“The enemy always attacks what he fears,” one member of Mercyland responded. “When God’s power is real, the noise of mockers becomes background music to the symphony of deliverance.”

In a brief statement following the service, Fufeyin’ told the congregation: “This is not me. It is Jesus Christ working through me. All glory belongs to God. The church is a hospital, and God is the Chief Surgeon!”

  • C&S church decries strange doctrines, warns members against ungodly practices

C&S church decries strange doctrines, warns members against ungodly practices

The Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) has vowed to work with security agencies to identify and prosecute ritualists and fraudsters who exploit the church to carry out criminal and strange doctrines.

The white-garment church also distanced itself from unwholesome activities such as the use of coloured candles, the Ark of the Covenant, and other blood-letting practices.

Speaking on Thursday in Ikare-Akoko in Ondo State to kick start its centenary celebration, the Secretary of the Church, Prof. Akinrotimi Oyetakin, expressed concerns at how religious faithful have been deviating from the foundation laid by the late Moses Orimolade.

Oyetakin specifically emphasised that the C&S has warned those engaging in such practices to desist from such an ungodly act immediately.

“However, despite tremendous growth and expansion, some strange doctrines have crept in, deviating from the foundation laid by Baba Orimolade.

“As true bearers of his mantle, we unequivocally state that the use of red, black, or coloured candles was never practised by Baba Orimolade.

“Likewise, the Ark of the Covenant (Apoti Eri) and other blood-letting practices that are negatively affecting the image of the church are deviations from his teachings. We hereby advise those engaging in such practices to desist immediately,” he said.

Prof. Oyetakin further explained that the C&S was working with the security agencies in prosecuting “ritualists and fraudsters” who exploit religion and the white garment church as a façade for their evil deeds.

Pleading with other C&S churches in the country, who have adopted the strange practices, to return to the basics, he said the doctrine left behind by the late Orimolade remained the only solution to safeguarding the church from agents of darkness and fraudsters.

“As the Mother Church, we remain committed to fostering unity within the global C & S community to enhance development and address challenges without compromising the historical truth that St. Moses Orimolade Tunolase is the sole founder of the church.

“Recent attempts by certain individuals to rewrite the history of the church are both futile and too late,” he added.

The church, however, called on the government to implement economic reforms to ameliorate socio-economic challenges facing the country.

“While we appreciate efforts by governments at various levels, they must do more to alleviate the suffering of the masses.

“Economic reforms should be implemented with compassion, ensuring that palliatives and relief programmes effectively reach those in need.”

The Owa-Ale of Ikare-Akoko, Oba Adeleke Adefemi Adegbite-Adedoyin, described the C&S as one of the early churches, urging the worshippers at the white-garment church to always pray for peace and unity in Ikare and the country as a whole.

Why it is hard to remarry after Ibidunni’s death – Ituah Ighodalo

Pastor Ituah Ighodalo has opened up about his journey of healing and personal growth five years after the passing of his wife, Ibidunni Ighodalo, who died while on official duty in Port Harcourt.

Speaking in an interview on Nigeria Info, Pastor Ighodalo revealed that in the early days of his grief, the thought of remarrying was unimaginable as he felt he had given everything to his late wife. However, over time, he found healing and has since redirected his focus towards his ministry.

When asked about the possibility of new romantic interests, he laughed and said, “It’s hard to say,” noting that while he had explored the path of love again in the past, he now prefers to leave such matters in God’s hands rather than succumb to societal pressure.

He also dismissed rumours linking him to anyone in particular but admitted that his experience has shown him that love after loss might be possible.

“When Ibidun died, I thought it was impossible because I had given her so much, I had no more love to give. However, time heals, and time compensates. A lot of people are putting me under pressure, but I am not listening to them. I am listening to my heart, and my heart says that it is still possible. I cannot say there is someone at the corner. I’ve been down that road many times. I believe in God and focus on Him. It has not been an easy decision. There are many things to consider”, he said.
