    Church plans cinema centre

A church based in Ijegun-Lagos GoodPath World and Prophetic Ministry, plans to build a cinema centre where worshippers can watch spirit-filled films.

Its founder Pastor Adekunle G. Adeniran, who broke the news in an interview with The Nation, said: “The plan of the ministry is also to establish a Christian cinema centre where we can partner Christian drama ministries to occupy our youths in building a godly home, society and nation.”

The clergy who spoke during the Seventh anniversary of the church with the theme ‘Marching on in glory,’ said: “The ministry is poised to fulfil the purpose of God by reaching out to evangelise the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world through crusades, indoor and outdoor revivals, online revival programmes to reach out to those on essential duties and establishment of School of disciples to entrench Christian virtues in converts.’’

He advised the church to be wary of falling short of the glory of God but rather to walk in the light of God’s glory by becoming examples of true believers in word, conversation, charity, spirit, faith and purity.

In his message to Nigerians, he said: “God has created us with glory as seen in our rich natural resources scattered in all parts of our dear nation. Refusal to see ourselves as the tool to manifest God’s glory has been the major setback in our quest and March to glory. However, God is willing and ready to forgive our ignorance if we humble ourselves, turn from our wicked ways (unwarranted killings, kidnappings and violence), pray and seek the face of God for forgiveness. God’s promise is that He will hear and restore our lost glory.”

Apostolic Church VP charges leaders on selfless service

The Vice President of The Apostolic Church Nigeria (TACN) and LAWNA Territorial Chairman, Pastor Emmanuel Awojide has underscored the need for leaders across board to give the totality of their lives to render service that would enhance the growth and development of the nation and the Church.

Awojide made the call in his welcome address during the Ministers’ Conference/Convention that started on Tuesday at the Church  Headquarters, Ketu Lagos, ahead of the Church’s Annual LAWNA International Convention which also began on Tuesday.

He warned that service without total consecration and commitment is unacceptable to God, and as such unproductive and unfruitful.

He pleaded with leaders both in the spiritual and secular fields to be wholly committed in their service to God and humanity as this will impact greatly on the growth and development of the nation and the church.

Consecration according to him demands determination and total commitment to the service of God and humanity.

He said, “People in service must first consecrate themselves to God before their service could be acceptable.”

The LAWNA Chairman said everything within and without the leaders and the led must be consecrated to God for their services to God and humanity to be acceptable.

He said the leaders and the followers in the Church and in the nation must consecrate their financial resources, time, and strength towards the development of the nation and the Church.

The cleric pointed out that anyone that would be on the Lord’s side would have to live a life of separation, dedication to God, and dedication to God’s service.

  • Faith-based associations must do more for prison inmates – Bishop Williams

Faith-based associations must do more for prison inmates – Bishop Williams

    By Ibrahim Apekhade Yusuf

Bishop Kayode Williams, Founder/Director-General of the Prison Rehabilitation Mission International (PREMI), has impressed on faith-based organisations across the country to step up efforts aimed at assisting prison inmates in terms of welfare in order to give them a sense of belonging.

The clergy gave this charge recently when he led other executive members of PREMI including Senior Pastor Dr. Silas Falokun and his wife, International Evangelist Mrs. Sijuade Falokun, among others on a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Correctional Centre in Ilesa, Osun State.

The visit, which was at the behest of the Osun State Coordinator of PREMI, Pastor Ajibade Obadare, is part of the sensitisation programme and regular housekeeping by PREMI at correctional centres across the country.

The PREMI team, who were received by the Deputy Controller of Osun state Correctional Centre, Mr. Saudje O. J. also visited some of the cells, where they met a woman awaiting trial for fraud (name withheld), recently delivered of a baby.

While carrying out the child dedication ceremony, Bishop Williams observed that the facilities did not cater adequately for the care and support of nursing babies in prison custodies.

“I observed that many correctional centres across the country don’t have budget for babies’ upkeep. The prison facilities are not capable of taking care of babies whose mothers’ are serving various jail terms. Both mothers and their kids live under very dehumanising situations and have to survive at the mercies of public-spirited Nigerians, who supply food stuffs and that’s not the kind of food they need at that point in their lives.

“I therefore appeal to faith based organisations to be ready to do more because from what we have seen there is a lot of room for improvement in the area of welfare. This is the situation all over the correctional centres across the country. These babies need proper duty of care because they are young children who are innocent citizens. They normally stay with their mother’s to be weaned on breast milk before they go for foster care. I strongly appeal to donors to include baby welfare items like diapers, pampers, baby food, etc.

“On our part at PREMI, we pledged to sponsor the child up to the university level. We plan to open an account for the baby through the mother. While we appreciate the generosity of Dr. Silas Falokun, who has promised to support the upkeep of the baby, we also appeal to other public-spirited Nigerians to lend their support to this noble cause,” he stressed.

PREMI which has successfully operated in Nigeria for over 38 years, providing the required assistance and helping to secure the release of hundreds of prisoners and detainees, presently has branches in Texas where the Osun State-born Dr. Silas Olayiwola Falokun volunteers as coordinator, supervising North and South America.

  • God mandated me to heal the sick or I die, says 77-year-old cleric

God mandated me to heal the sick or I die, says 77-year-old cleric

    By Nsa Gill, Calabar

Seventy seven-year-old Christian cleric, Nathan Otozulu, from Bayelsa State says he is ‘a nobody’ because he doesn’t like titles.

According to him, because God had used him to heal many, people started calling him a Prophet.

He said this during a chat with newsmen in Calabar, the Cross River State capital. “I‘ve been mandated by God to go from state to state and country to country to heal the sick or ‘ll die.”

According to him, he had the calling as far back as in 1968 when he was studying Mathematics in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

“A strange gentle whispery voice warned me to stop studying Mathematics. I did not pay attention nor care to bother what it was all about. Then in 1976, here in Nigeria, the same voice spoke to me again about a spiritual disease called the Virus that would pollute the world and would frustrate medical science. I was made to attend a series of lectures, night after night in my dreams on how to destroy the virus. I saw the virus itself and it is a spiritual affliction from the Marine Spirit with a very simple mass healing spiritual solution with the power of the Holy Spirit.”

He continued, “I became aware of my serious situation when the voice said: ‘I am God Almighty talking to you; I have clothed you with power of the Holy Spirit for your blessing to do my work; Command the river around you to change its direction of flow and it will obey you; concentrate on my work; the time is against us; move out and get it done  else you will suffer the same fate as that of Zachariah in Luke 1:Vs. 5-25″

For his reluctance over time, he revealed that he suddenly lost his three cars to inferno on a single day and hour. His fortunes started dwindling. “Everything I was doing for a living disappeared. I knew for sure that I would not be able to escape the ordeal, so I started to go about conducting healing crusades in Port Harcourt, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Benue states.”

He said: “The voice from a distance also told me that by the telephone in my hand, I would pray into a bottle of water in my hand, and the spirit of God will do her work and bring healing to any disease afflicting the person.

“I do exactly what the voice told me to do by commanding a whole river or ordinary drinkable water and whosoever drink of it will cause an instant destruction of the Aids Virus. The proof of dead viruses will be seen as slimy mucus; strange colour or heavy foam in the urine of the victim within a few hours of drinking the water. This is the mystery surrounding my mission on earth.”

He maintained that “the victim will start to live a normal life without drugs, no more aches and pains. The body will start to germinate between 20 to 50 new blood cells every month to replace the damaged immune system known as the CD4 lymphocyte count; which controls the HIV-Negative status.”

He said he is ready to visit every corner of the world to free the victims.

He stated further that this does not charge money because the healing comes from God, not him, and that the treatment is available even through a telephone call.

  • Time to change in the world

Time to change in the world

    By Soji Omotunde

With the power of words, it is essential not to be loving the issues of the world again. Indeed to understand now, if anyone still really loves the world, love of the Almighty God will surely not be in him.

There is need to remember that though we are all in this world, we should totally not be on it. Opportunity that will not again be believing the world, shall surely become more on things of heaven to end well.

Becoming surely indeed are important Bible verses on all issues about not focusing more of this world. Therefore, as one should not be loving the world again, there must desire God the more to really have everlasting life.

Why? From the beginning, the Most God indeed truly created the heaven and the earth. And since then, there was darkness as the earth was without form. Then immediately, God demanded: ”Let there be light: and there was light” (Genesis 1:3).

So, as the light was seen then and consistently good, indeed ”God divided the light from the darkness” (Genesis 1:4), as darkness remained from Satan the devil from that beginning.

Indeed much later, when there was still so problematic in the world then, God again in reality established his Son Jesus Christ to the world to wipe away sin to solve all problems. This was because He wanted people who really abide in Him to believe as children like His Son Jesus, to have everlasting life across the world to be with Him in heaven.

In reality according to Jesus who totally became the Lord of lord and the King of kings, He said in John 15:19:

“If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.”

Again indeed, it is essential not to love the world, but rather trusting more in heaven just as Jesus is retaining consistently on the right hand of His Father the Almighty God. That is why till now ”Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).

According to the Bible which is in reality, it is essential by Jesus to become those who are in God. He already said on what was contrary to Satan in the world who indeed as ”The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:” (John 10:10)And this is what has been happening in the world again till now contrary to heaven which is consistently perfect.

Coronavirus Pandemic on Covid-19 that started at the end of 2019 with more done in last year 2020, made things the entire world very terrible, as no more again good work abide for so long, and with many people in the whole world died before their real time.

But by divine grace, such hard problem is getting down this ongoing year as real children of God keep praying more through the Lord to solve those issues.

Yet, if more people are still loving the world, 1 John 2:15-17 says to all:

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”

Indeed, so many people who are focusing more on God now in the world must not be contrary to the word of God, as they will eventually be on the right hand in heaven rejoicing forever like Jesus.

Even those not being solving with God again by still focusing on things on earth being alive, no matter the end situation they might be rejoicing. They shall surely become the real things they cannot end well because they will still go to hell fully under Satan the devil.

Indeed from now, all those in faith who trust the more, light has come again from the Father in heaven, as will not die ordinarily and be eternally forever by grace.

So, as now will not be ordinary again in our nation, Romans 12:2 says:

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Therefore, pleace ”Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth” (Colossians 3:2). And trust again in James 4:7: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Finally, believe according to Ephesians 4:27, ”Neither give place to the devil”, and then ” Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:6-7).

From now this year as what will happen at the end of time, we must indeed in Nigeria be going back to the beginning of great things of the Lord the more than before.

Cleric tasks Christians on community outreaches

    By Adeola Ogunlade

The Zonal Pastor of Living Faith Church Worldwide, AKA Winners Chapel, Idimu, Dr. Joshua Oluwasuyi, has charged Christians to make frantic effort at providing social interventions that will bring succor to the vulnerable and downtrodden in rural communities.

Oluwasuyi said this at the free medical services and evangelistic outreach last week in Idimu community organized by The Beulah World Initiative (BWI), Lagos.

The programme tagged: ‘Medical and food outreach, health and nutritional talk,’ featured free medical checkup, treatment, dispensing of drugs, donation of reading glasses, distribution of clothes, food items and deworming of children, amongst others.

According to him, as Christians, we are in the world. We are salt and light; we are ambassadors for Christ. Getting involved in community interventions is about reaching our community with this good news, using means that are available and legitimate.

Oluwasuyi, said that the gesture would go a long way to assist the grassroots communities.

“The free medical services are worthwhile, desirable and a call to duty to help humanity. It has been very impactful. Beulah World Initiative has been doing this for some years now; offering free medical services to the people in various communities without considering ethnicity and religious backgrounds,” he said.

In her words, the convener and founder of BWI, Chichi Ononiwu appealed to the conscience of the political class to stop colonizing the resources of the nation so that people at the grassroots can have decent lives.

She said: “Imagine a situation we had during today’s outreach where we attended to over 250 people and 90% of the beneficiaries are hypertensive and most of them were ignorant of their health status. People have to be able to feed first before thinking of the hospital.

“The most shocking was the case of three teenage girls who were found to have the blood pressure of a 120- year-old. To the point that the youngest of them, who is 15 years old, had the highest blood pressure and on questioning her, we found out that she has been having fainting spells for over a year. And all three of them were ignorant of their health status prior to being tested at our medical outreach.

“We as a nation must find a way to ameliorate the sufferings of the average Nigerian. We either do something now or suffer the consequences and I tell you, the consequences are not pretty.”
