Chinese firm donates 10,000 face masks to Ministry in Abuja

As part of efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, a Chinese firm, CGGC Global Projects Nigeria Limited, has donated 10,000 face masks to the Ministry of Water Resources in Abuja.

The Managing Director the company Mr. Zhang Wei said, said the gesture was part of their social corporate responsibility.

He described Nigeria as a friend and pledged their commitment to fighting the rapidly spreading virus.

He expressed confidence that working together “we will overcome the difficulties and we will move forward and strengthen the friendship between us”.

The Minister of Water Resources, Engr. Suleiman H. Adamu expressed appreciation for their contribution to the growth of the country.

He described China as a longstanding friend of Nigeria and expressed appreciation for the donation.

The Minister assured the masks will be judiciously used to ensure protection of staff.

“We appreciate your gift of these face masks donated to our ministry. These will be extremely useful for the ministry,” he said.
