Church prays for Baptist students

Senior pastors and members of Seventh Day Adventist Church North-West zone converged on Kaduna for a one-day special prayer summit to seek divine intervention on the current insecurity situation bedevilling the region.

The prayer summit held at the Zonal Headquarters of the Church in Gonin Gora outskirts of Kaduna metropolis yesterday.

North West Zonal President of the Church, Pastor Yohanna Musa Dangana said the summit was organised to pray to God who has the lasting solution of the problem and the way out.

He maintained that the insecurity situation poses risk to everybody, including military, police and sister security operatives, government officials, students and the general public which needs collective prayers for us to be free from the problem.

Reacting to the abduction of the students of Bethel Baptist High School Kaduna, Pastor Dangana said nobody should be blamed, the matter should instead be surrendered to Almighty God who is the only one that can protect and rescue the students from their abductors.

The senior pastors and members of the church are optimistic that the kidnapped students will be released safely and be reunited with their families and the situation will be the history of the past in the country.
