Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has said it has arrested 29 youths from northern states armed with weapons in Kwara State.

It added that the youth, who allegedly migrated from northern states to Kwara State, were arrested at Amayo in Ifelodun Local Government.

NSCDC Kwara State Command spokesman Olasunkanmi Ayeni said the suspects claimed to have come to the state from northern part of the country to farm.

He said cutlasses were recovered from them, adding that they are being interrogated by the command officers.
