“We celebrated Pentecost under the cloud of COVID-19. While we continue to battle this virus, we should not loose hope, let us also do what we need to do in order to minimise the spread of the virus.

“We are greatly troubled at the current state of affairs in the world today. In the book of acts, Pentecost came like a storm, let us reflect on the coming of the Holy spirit as the coming of freedom and liberty. It should be seen as as a symbol of unity.

“Before the Pentecost, ethnic diversities were seen as an integral part of life in the days of old. Everyone was only concerned about their ethnicity until the Holy Spirit broke this barrier up on the day of Pentecost.

“Pentecost signifies transformation, from our fears, lack of faith and the strength to endure persecution in a world that is increasingly being distracted from the way of Christ.

“Let us allow the Spirit of truth to make us instruments of transformation in our various societies. And the peace of God will abide with us. This is our hope which is based on our trust in God,” he said.
