Community leader Fashina dies

The death has been announced of a community and political leader in Idi-Oro, Musin Local Government, Alhaji Muftau Fashina. He was 90.

A statement by the family said Fashina died at his 3, Labinjo Court house in Mushin on June 8 after a brief illness.

He has been buried according to Islamic rites in his country home at Sabo, Abeokuta.

A graduate of St. Patrick’s Catholic School, Ebute Meta, Lagos, the deceased was one of the most popular Property Managers in Musin, through his company, M.A. Fashina and Brothers.

He is survived by wife, brothers, sisters and children, among whom is the Special Assistant to the Director-General, Standards Organisation of Nigeria and Head of Public Relations, Mr. Adebola Fashina.
