The Baale of Okegun Ladeseso in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, Chief Sefiu Mufutau Olamiji, has appealed to the government to save his life, family and properties.
He urged the state Police Command to give the community protection as invaders threatened to kill him.
At a briefing, Olamiji said he had been having a tussle with another family and that the matter came to a head when, on July 1, over 200 thugs attacked him at his residence and destroyed his television sets, generator and laptops.
He added that the attackers, known as Ajagungbale, made away with his money.
He said though the thugs planned to strip him and take him to the street naked, but the Highway Patrol Team at Eleko rescued him.
The policemen, he said, took him to the Akodo Police Division to make statements at about 4 am.
Olamiji denied that he was the aggressor and a usurper in the area.
“They are the real land grabbers in the community. I believe that the court will rightly determine the owners of the land.
“They cannot wait for the court (Ikorodu High Court) to do the needful, which is why they are taking these illegal steps,” he said.
