Continental Cups: Nigerian Clubs await  Preliminary Rounds’  foes

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the draw for the preliminary rounds of the 2025–2026 CAF Inter Club Competitions will take place on August 12  in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Nigeria will be represented by four clubs: Remo Stars, Rivers United, Abia Warriors, and Kwara United.

Remo Stars, champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), will feature in the CAF Champions League, while Rivers United, runners-up in the NPFL, will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup. Abia Warriors (3rd  place in NPFL) and Kwara United (winners of the President Federation Cup) will also participate in the CAF competitions, with their respective tournaments to be officially confirmed.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) extends its best wishes to all four clubs as they prepare to represent the nation on the continental stage.

First Round: September 19–21 (1st  leg), September 26–28 (2nd  leg)

Second Round: October 17–19 (1st  leg), October 24–26 (2nd  leg)

Group Stage

Matchday 1: November 21–23, 2025

Matchday 2: November 28–30, 2025

Matchday 3: January 23–25, 2026

Matchday 4: January 30 – February 1, 2026

Matchday 5: February 6–8, 2026

Matchday 6: February 13–15, 2026

Knockout Stage

Quarterfinals: March 13–15 (1st  leg), March 20–22 (2nd  leg)

Semifinals: April 10–12 (1st  leg), April 17–19 (2nd  leg)

Final: May 8–24, 2026
