NOT less than 100 residents of the Badagry Local Government Area of Lagos State have benefitted from the distribution of food palliatives and hand sanitizers donated by the members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Badagry Zone to cushion the effects of the lockdown to curtail the spread of coronavirus in the state during the week.

Speaking at the distribution ceremony held at the council secretariat, an Assistant Director in the Lagos State Council of the NYSC, Mr Adegboyega Kila, said the donation conceived by the corps members became necessary in order to assist widows, the vulnerable and the less-privileged in the council areas to alleviate the economic hardship occasioned by the lockdown to reduce the spread of coronavirus in Lagos State.

He pointed out that the distribution of the food stimulus packages and provision of hand washing stand and sanitizers at the council secretariat were part of the corps members’ widow’s mite to give the less-privileged in the society a sense of belonging.
