America based Nigerian auto dealer, Mr Oludoyi Julius Juwon of Mr Jay Autos has joined other well meaning Nigerians to support the Federal government by feeding a good number of Nigerians during the lockdown caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Mr Juwon through his brand ambassador, Jaywon, fed over five hundred residents of the slums and ghetto area of Ajiran town and Agungi area in Lekki, Lagos.
Speaking on the essence of the palliative, the CEO of Mr Jay Autos noted that the idea was born out of the love to see everyone out there being able to eat at least on proper balance diet meal in a day.
“We reached out to over 500 Families in the slum and ghetto area of Lagos Nigeria by providing them with food items like rice, semovita, spaghetti, noodles and other essential items” he said.
“To help ease the high level of hunger in our Nigerian communities caused by the Corona Virus (Covid-19) pandemic as a result of the stay home order of the Federal Government of Nigeria. The outcry for massive starvation is no longer a thing to be told, as such i felt the need to reach out to as many families as I can by providing them with free food items with the help of the brand ambassadors of my company. Yes we are working on reaching out to other communities and even other states very soon”.
The Texas based auto dealer however advised all citizens of the Federal Republic to practice social distancing and good good hygiene. He also urged the government to use this period to unite the people as a nation.
“The Nigerian Government need do a lot at this critical time. This not the time to play politics but to be unit our people as one Nation. The Government need to Provide relief materials, financial assistance, security and adequate medical care to our people. I won’t love to compare but Nigerian Government needs to see what other nations are doing in helping their citizens survive this perilous and difficult time. As an American Citizen yesterday I received free $1200 (#480,000) from the government. I never lobbied or beg for it. It came in free, for all American and Legal immigrants”.
