The management of NASCON Allied Industries, a new plant in the conglomerate of the Dangote Group, has assured its host community in Apapa of buoyance and employment opportunities.
NASCON’s Managing Director, Mr. Paul Farrer, who was represented at a parley with the community by the Chief Financial Officer, Mrs. Aderemi Saka, promised that its location in the area would be beneficial to stakeholders.
She added that as a company that produces family-oriented products, such as salt and seasonings, NASCON’s plant location within the community would add flavor and taste to their activities as these are products used daily in families.
She urged the community to see the new plant as a partner in progress and ensure that the relationship is nurtured for growth through constant engagement and consultations on issues.

Head, Human Safety & Environment, NASCON, Mr. Jude Amaechi, said the new plant is meant for the production of salt, a necessity in homes. He said the plant complies with the best global standards in terms of safety and there would be zero emissions. The plant he added will build social economic activities.
The Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area, Mr. Abdulfatai Ayoola at the evnt, held in Alayabiagba, described the new plant as a blessing to the community and that it would boost economic activities within the environs.
Ayoola stated that the local government would support the firm to ensure that the new plant settles fast in the community.
He stated: “We promise you every support that you need to make the plant take off and succeed. It will be of mutual benefit for everyone for the plant to succeed as the multiplier effect will change the economic fortunes of the community.”
The LGA boss urged the company to remember the community in terms of corporate social responsibility and other facilities needed to enhance the lives of the citizens.
Baale of Alayabiagba Community, Chief Adesina Ojora, commended the management of NASCON for its engagement with the leadership of the community prior to the general engagement.
He asked for employment slots for the community so that the youth could be gainfully employed. He promised to support the new plant.
